Parry. They even have a little flash on their swords right before they attack to let you know when. They're basically a test to see if you paid attention when the game taught you to parry in that first cave xD

And it seems that you were able to remove the complete building in an earlier version not just certain parts

Hello all, what’s the best ammo’s for Range & Magic? 💭 (Including Material gathering) bearing in mind I’m level 20.

Unending: Frost Arrow from Blackmire
Easy to use up/farm: Ancient Fossil Arrow
Harder to farm alternative: Explosive Arrow II (20 is the range where you'd be able to craft it) + most output, especially if you specced into multishot
Mage: Farm the eternal spells together and go zoom zoom, eternal Fireball/eternal Frostbolt (self made, not the one from quest) are the best ones, followed up from the newest one chain lightning in the mountains.

The others I found as of yet not worth the trouble tbh

There is a lot of new stuff since launch, but most of them are later in the game. Springlands and Revelwood is just the same if you come back and play the game after 6 months. They should add some new stuff even early in the game to make the game feel more fresh early on.

Blackmire update were neet but kinda short area. The winter mountains is pretty nice though and much bigger.

Ebs, you've probably walked over piles of bones yourself as well. There's ruins and such that have bones as a material covering the ground and walls. You can pickaxe them. The hollowed halls are filled with them tho. You don't have to go far to find the first piles of bones and that's really all you're going to ever need 😄

I am usually the dedicated base builder in my group as that is my forte and what I love, but because I struggle to imagine things without having them built in front of me first I usually end up giving up due to most games building system being so janky or making you lose materials for destroying structures, but enshrouded is so versatile and forgiving, all the little features just give it such a quality of life that keeps me motivated to carry on, i can experiment with different structures, spend hours just putting together a little pillar with different designs to see which one fits best and it always fits together, I dont have to spend hours removing other blocks to make way for a new structure because it doesnt quite fit together with what i've already put down, sorry i'm rambling i'm just really happy and every day I look forward to finishing work so I can hop on and create all the things i've imagined adding to my world before I went to sleep! Also thank you for giving us so many different kinds of blocks to work with, thank you for giving us the things we see in the world itself to actually use and design with in our bases, ahh I could go on for ages, thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just find it funny that they specifically complained that there is too much lore because I usually skip lore/reading in most games like this because it just doesnt interest me most of the time but i've found myself actually taking my time to go and find pages to read because i'm immersing myself tons in this game, I like that you can go to an abandoned town and explore it and slowly figure out what happened by the pages left there, and the map markers make it easy to find the lore as well so you're not running around struggling to find stuff

I've actually gotten annoyed at my friend i've been playing with who will run off while im base building and find lore pages because I want to see where they were found so I can understand the place its referring to

hello everyone! Can you tell me who has any ideas? The fact is that my domesticated animals, goats and deer, do not give meat when killed, only fur and bones, why is that?

It happens with the normal wild ones too. Sometimes when you're hunting for say wolf meat you'll get nothing but fur and bones

Probably forgot to add it to the loot table of them, I don't think they really wanted you to tame the animals for food but the product they produce.

Hi guys mi new here, tried Enshrouded some time ago and now I'm during my coop playtrough with my friend... Is that a well known thing for devs that player skills are the weakest point of the game - they feel stupid boring uninspired and those that could actually be fun are working bad or got nerfed ? Just wondering because game had a ton of updates and still world is its biggest advantage they do great job and this game could be so much better.

yaks are wild. they dont wanna sleep in their beds and keep the icon that they dont have food or shelter. bowl has 200 food. sometimes they eat 1 or 2. then sometimes they eat the whole bowl of a hundred food.

The dungeons in this game are sick, they have a Zelda feel to them. Are there any other survival/rpg’ish games that have similar dungeons? Valheim has a lack for it

Honestly I can't think of any, as far as dungeons go. And yeah, agreed, the dungeons are some of my favorite parts

I can't wait until we get more. The HHs are nice but I'm excited to see what else they cook up

Pikemead is definitely one of the most intriguing experiences I had in all of gaming

basically an open-air dungeon of sorts

too bad we probably can't rebuild it due to all the shroud

tbh I feel like the nomad highlands and the kindlewastes are missing something special

the springlands are a great tutorial area, the revelwoods and blackmire is visually distinct along with having pikemead as the major end of biome dungeon (on top of you having gathered all the major survivors by then)

but after that, the game feels a bit directionless up until you reach the summits where you are given actual objectives besides 'kill boss to upgrade flame level' again

Like the Fell Monstrosity and the Scythe things feel like minibosses rather than actual biome major bosses

from the looks of it, there are two main possibilities (since we're obviously not headed to the flying castle yet)

the mountains to the far southwestern edge of the map

and the gap between the blackmire and the summits

there's also the area above the blackmire

the place between blackmire and summits is probably the next major biome release since it's probably a riverlands/lake area, the other two areas would probably be more side progression places like the blackmire release

there's also the mysterious pit of deadly shroud to the south of Pikemead

a few people have flown in there and found interesting stuff (at least before dying)

Hmmm, I tried to ask questions in the last AMA that had to do with this funny enough.

All of the "dungeons" in enshrouded are pretty simple with their puzzles and are mostly linier in their design.
Was kind of hoping they might lean a tiny bit more into zelda dungeon design with a few cooler puzzles, full on backtracking, and nonlinear design. 😂

Is a series on YouTube called "boss keys" by Mark Brown that really delves into zelda dungeon design, for the game design enthusiasts here 😉

I played a turn-based JRPG before this called Crystal Project, which was also built with a custom voxel-based engine. It too had a very heavy exploration focus and was more non-linear compared to most JRPGs

there was one dungeon in there that was basically a giant Zelda reference

no terrain editing stuff with pickaxes and so on though

but... hmm, maybe I could suggest something like that to that game's dev for their next project, could be really interesting as far as JRPG standards go

the game's combat system is also considered really, really good by turn-based JRPG standards, probably one of the best in existence, but that's not really that high of a bar to clear admittedly

Crystal Project ended up being one of my most favorite JRPGs, so I ended up checking out Enshrouded purely because it was voxel-based with heavy exploration and RPG elements even though I had never played a survival game prior

even though there's no terrain editing shenanigans like you could do in Enshrouded, you could do hilarious shit like rent a salmon for a river run race

but instead of doing the race normally, if you knew what you were doing, you could just turn around and take the salmon mount to go explore as much as you can with the 2 minute race time limit

including break into the back door of a literal endgame dungeon to get the permanent salmon mount way earlier than intended

I was the one who discovered that last part about two weeks after the game's release and it blew the minds of a lot of people in that game's community

the dev was like 'yeah coming up with stuff like that is intended, go nuts'

It's possible, but the game is also supposed to be friendly co-op. If the people you're playing with are pulling in engame gear to early phases, talk to them about it. If they dont want to do a "natural" playthrough, maybe they arent the best to play with.

Yeah, they don't really have a concept of level requirements in the game right now, so it would probably be a pretty big add as far as the amount of work.

I mean, fundamentally this doesn't really work because in game 'levels' are just skill points. Gear is the primary source of your character strength, so it wouldn't be easy for them to have hard cutoffs. Some people reach kindlewastes at early 20s so you'd basically be telling those people to stop and grind exp mining or something artifically until they're allowed to progress as the gear needed there is around level 30

And that's especially troublesome in a server situation because you won't be happy if they move ahead, but they won't be happy running in place until others catch up. Playing with like-minded people like Zerax said is the best solution

Or at least agreeing on a compromise of some kind

They don't really give timelines on this stuff, so we don't know when it will happen. And as Killercod mentioned, it's a custom engine so it might be a good amount of work to implement. But they're planning on it, so it'll happen eventually (probably before 1.0)

my issue is that cheesing into high lvl areas to over gear early without the challenge is the struggle. Wouldn't ask to have lvl requirements for gear as the default, but an option for hard mode

struggle is playing with friends that play much less than I do. Trying to find in-game settings to balance it out so I can still play at my pace and they can join in at their pace. Rn it's not quite working out, but would love for this to be the case. Don't want this to be a once a year game, would love to be able to continue playing with hopefully in the future replayable fun end-game content on top of the building. Maybe I'm asking too much for this game to have it all, but I shall continue to play and watch the updates 🫡

The game is primarily designed for coop, as in playing together, whilst they've listened to the community and are making changes/additions to allow a more individual play (Like quest separation) they still have built the game in a specific way so some things may be harder to change than we realise ^^ But do upvote/suggest it on the site above ^^

Once they've been done on a world? No. Certain quests are still purely world based. For individual characters there is an option in the quest log to 'activate missed Embervale' quests if they've already been completed on that world. If you're asking if a character can repeat quests they've already completed, then you can still go to the quest locations/loot quest items but you will not get the quest a second time.

im level 17 and i dont have a problem ether to be honest my range team mate find them self dead more often than me try lifesteal build will help you allot 😛

i normaly dont even carry a bow or any ranged weapon, admitedly makes me struggel agains some of the air targets but hey that why i have my archer and wizard friend for xD
