I thought with 2 beds they can make only 1 offspring and will no longer reproduce until more beds are installed. so with 5 you shouldn't have more than 10 goats. I guess I misunderstood the breeding system. Good thing I never put down more beds

maybe its a bug but the they definitely keep spawning. Because its a dedicated server its always online, so they just keep reproducing. The only solution i can think of is to remove all their food when I log off but its not ideal.

There are some big flat areas in the desert, if that's what you're looking for. Lots of mountains. Hunormous trees in the swamp area, and the tree bark is buildable.

Yes, but only if they have a roaming range greater than zero. After setting them all to 0 roaming distance, they stopped disappearing, at least on my single player world. Also, since this patch that supposedly improved villager pathing, they have been getting stuck/glitched out on stuff like random plants and CARPETING of all things, which is also why I just set them to stay put...

I believe that magical weapons are specifically ones whose primary damage is magical, namely staves & wands, just like ranged damage bonuses seem to specifically mean bows & melee damage bonuses specifically to melee weapons... Now skills that boost specific elemental damage do seem to apply to even melee or ranged weapons with those types of damage (e.g. Pyromanic seems to increase damage of bows & melee weapons with fire damage, Dark outs seems to boost shroud damage, etc), but I need to do more testing...

Also you're free to untrack a quest and just explore blindly you don't have to follow the waypoint. Free will exists.

Your save file will update to whatever current state is for the world - with the exception of anywhere you have placed an Altar. Areas within altars will not change with updates so if you set in altar in a town for example and they change up the town, the area within your altar boundary wont update. This protects your build but can also impede on your ability to finish certain quests if the quest target is within your altar.

Building blocks are (mainly) learned by either picking up the blocks from chests or by picking up the building materials from the world. Similar with the decorative pieces, though some can be obtained through recipies or from opening up workbenches and quests as well.

Whenever I'm starting a new build in an area I place an altar in an okay spot and then place additional ones as I need them until deciding where to put the permanant altar, and that's the only one I'll upgrade.
They only cost 5 stone so as long as I don't have altar slots maxxed I kind of throw them around willy nilly

I think of the flame altar as more of an open hearth and should be close to the main house or within the largest building. But for my first attempt I built the smithy around the flame altar. And figured the blacksmith wouldn't mind the extra fire.

you have some time before everything poofs when you decomission an altar. so you can destroy it and replace it with a new one and not lose anything. as long as you don't relog and place the new one relatively quickly.

Rings are curiously not impactful. There's one really good one that IS, but pretty much every other ring I've seen is like "oh, that's sort of a nice little baby buff"

Tin is tough to find organically. I stumbled on a great source early on, but my partner searched for hours and finally I just showed her where I found it.

I know another very convenient spot for tin, it's not huge, but a great starting point since it's close to the ancient spire of nomad highlands and extremely easy to get to.
||If you fly north, slightly northwest there is a cave with one of those fell trees that give a skillpoint just a short bit into the cave, this cave has a tin deposit and some glow mushroom walls as well so you don't need a torch :)||
