They wouldn't bother if they just wanted to take the money and run. You need to put together the evidence in your own mind and make a judgement.

Felling Axe (Tool) gains specific boost via the golden nodes, but these damage reflect actual damage to trees and wooden objects. The cutting damage on axes (which do have it) are about 1-1x, which works enough to destroy nearly any wooden object, but are dependent on damage and/or cutting power to destroy things in one-hit.

Do note: Too much cutting power/damage will instantly destroy a bed. In such cases having a weapon with low cutting power can kill the body on it and allow you to still have the bed intact.

honestly at this point im frustrated enough with the hunt that I'd be fine with a pinpoint, guaranteed location. Because I certainly haven't found any by random chance while exploring in the shroud, and no tip offs I've tried so far have had anything. Trade Outpost Rye, just look around it for a honeycomb texture amber/reddish-brown coloured ground and mine down into it

There's a more reliable one I know on land, but it requires you to know the cave where a fossil drops south of Trade Outpost Rye. This requires navigation and can easily be missed

Amber can easily be mistaken for the other mats depending on graphics (Clay for example)

there's an area of shroud near lumenlight cave, with the location lone thistle; on the northwest corner of this shroud area is a big wall with a bunch of amber thats also relatively close to the edge of the shroud & relatively far from any enemies so you wont get too distracted while mining there

it's due south of the revelwood spire

i can take a screenshot of the map if thatd be more helpful than a description but i'll have to either dm you the screenshot or post it in a different channel

thanks, I'll give that a try next. I think a huge part of the issue is that with limited time in the shroud, I spend 90% of the time with something aggro'd on me I have to waste time fighting, so I'm not getting to go over the area with a finetooth comb

incredibly fair yeah, thats also part of what stopped me from finding amber. kamiddani showed the area to me and we sat there for a good while mining amber and it didnt take very long to exit the shroud when our timers were low

In regards to amber, my place of choice would be Grind Teeth Grotto. Can take out the shroud root to mine at your own pace without worrying about shroud timer. Also hardly any enemies to contend with. Either zero enemies or just some bugs to deal with. Cave is west of willow crush’s bridge. So not far from the revelwood tower.

we've generally tried to make it accessible to all

most of the reviews tend to say it is accessible, some say it is too easy (it is definitely not Dark Souls)

and we have a few who say it is too hard

what I can say with certainty is it's a game where you can button mash "attack" if you're not a great strategist and it mostly works

certain classes are more noob-friendly and will not punish mistakes as much, whereas others will require a certain dexterity and planning to be effective

playing a mage for instance, you don't have a lot of room for error

The pet mechanic does exist already (in the Necromancer skill) or you can have pets that temporarily follow you around (Beastmaster tree) but nothing that would last. Reminder:
We're the Flameborn. They don't have stuck us into that pod with ur pet so it could survive the Shroud. If we enter the Shroud with ur pet it should either corrupt or die straight - because that's what it does to normal beings.

Simply put, you can no longer cancel your attack with a wand, to instantly block or dodge. It will follow through with the animation no matter what, so you can still be hit instead of respecting your attempt to block or dodge.

So apparently the ability to remove to remove Microsoft Recall was a bug. They're going to fix that in an update.

Just gonna quickly point out that Enshrouded works on Linux via Proton if you've got an NVidia card.

It's not related to the prior conversation. I'm just trying to point out that Microsoft is getting very creepy very fast, and Enshrouded works on Linux if you have an NVidia GPU, so a lot of people have the option to switch.

Recall records everything you do by default, and OneDrive backs up your files to Microsoft's servers by default. I presume that either already includes the images recorded by Recall, or it will soon enough.

A lot of people are hesitant to switch because they're concerned about being able to play video games. Enshrouded works on Linux just fine in my case, via Steam Proton. Seems to work for most systems with an NVidia GPU. Not sure if AMD GPUs are working with Enshrouded yet though.

Oh, very few. Almost everything is run through Proton, and even when game devs create a Linux version people often don't use it because there's a history of Linux versions not getting updated as much, so people just use the Windows version via Proton.
