I found a small cache of amber around 50 stack up the top end of map just to the left of where you get the fell commander bow (climb the mountain dig through the clay at the bottom of digsite and "I came across a bunch of amber") hope this helps

I've noticed that the game loads MUCH slower on my PC than my wife's, and hers is only a year newer than mine. Is it normal to have to load all 1300 or so files every time on startup, then also take a minute or two to load the game itself?

Loading those files takes a good 3-4 minutes to get to the main menu too

i think i found glitch or mazbe someone else did but didnt saw it on ytb for example. i gonna check again how i did that but, i opened chest and didnt had space in inventory so i opened inventoryywith hotkey B and made space after i closed inventory in chest was different potion then i saw before. if this works on all chests then we can basicly roll chest for legendaries.

yeah it works now i tested you dont even have to have full inventory just open inventory after opening the chest
only thing, you cant close the chest if you will then the loot will basicly "attach to the chest" and you cant reroll it again

Definitely so! They're putting out new major patches about every month and a half... If you're into building there's always plenty to do, but if you're not it probably gets a little repetitive once you've capped your level/skill points and explored a lot of the map. Until the next update comes out.

Start a private game to get started and learn the ropes. There's some introduction quests to get going and claim your first bases and rescue the first survivors.

45-50 in my main base is my normal since I like higher quality and have a pretty big base with lots of clutter, out in the world it's a bit better at 70 or so, which doesn't seem that much different lately but might be a little lower than what it was before the last patch.

My issues are with the map. Opening the map causes my obs to freak out and drop from constant 60 fps to like 30 with encoding overload. Only game that does it and only the map does it. World runs fine to me.

Rising World has Voxel water, but you can customize the update time (basically FPS for water calculations)

Will be a nice aestethical addition atleast. perhaps gravity tricks if making underwater possible so low areas are not lost.
Since there is many low areas with shroud i would guess water would be in specific places and not as a global level since that would "flood" alot of the map.

found a pretty amusing visual bug where sometimes my game would stutter (could be from cpu usage my laptop can be a bit finicky) whenever im doing any kind of action (attacking, gliding, holding anything, etc.) and whatever i was using gets stuck on my character until i reload the game, so I could have my glider on (including the wind sound fx) while i have a conglomerate of fused shields on one hand, and weapons/tools/torches on the other hand

something similar happens when building, when changing a prefab, it would stutter and the ghost prefab would stay there indefinately until i reload the game

i even took a screenshot of my character but idk where to post it tbh

It's not PER item, sounds like the timer keeps stopping, just make sure you tab over to the stream and they are still actively streaming and check that the percentage is going up periodically, if it isn't ~ then swap chans etc. And naturally don't keep the percentage window as the main one, keep the streamers video one as the main.

Enshrouded Server & Character Wipes

As of current writing (6 Febuary 2024) we do not have any plans to force wipes at any time. However, with the Enshrouded being in early access and the fact that a LOT of things will change between now and full release, we cannot guarantee that there may or may not be a major update
that requires old saves to break.

Also being that so much is changing, there is always a chance that an update may break old saves, so we recommend backing up saves regularly that you care about. As this would be something that could be the end of the world for players.

We will do our best to avoid this, and it's not something we're planning intentionally we cannot guarantee this will "never happen" either since there are a lot of unknown variables in the future.
