Those aren’t enforced tags. It also doesn’t resolve the base issue. I don’t want to go to the channel called “base-design-showcase” and see the same 12 resource save files at the top. I don’t want to see that there are updates there and go check only to see that it’s just resource threads being chatted in. I don’t want people to be discouraged because they posted something cool and then it gets buried by resource thread updates.

They are savage beasties! Ok, for some context here in my case, we have 3 cats, but they're not family pets. They're pest control and are never allowed inside the house. They have a house outside, they get food and water and whatever from us, but living out in the middle of the woods means alot of rodents, hence the need for vicious beasts to keep them under control so they don't chew up the cables in my house or cars.

They leave bloody reminders of their viciousness in the form of heads and guts from the local wildlife all over our porch all the time.

Yeap, because you have new versions of textures and interpolations most likely, and then it takes a little while longer to optimize them again on the first run.

Every other start from that it just checks the value to see if it's correct, which is why it's faster after the first run.

By pre-optimizing things like shaders and stuff, you get faster loading and less stutter in the world, because it's already pre-optimized. It speeds up things like background loading when you're fast travelling and things like that.

IF that is in fact what they're doing, but I highly suspect that that is what's going on, because it's pretty common practice.

When you pre-optimize things like shaders, they can just be loaded from a cache on disk, instead of being done real time in the gaming world, which leads to better performance.

This is an example of where having the game installed on an SSD will yield way better performance compared to a mechanical rotary harddrive.

Absolutely! I will do that tomorrow evening. But the beauty of a sous vide is that you can cook the meat from the core to the outside to be exactly the kind of done that you want. If you like medium rare, or medium or well done or whatever, it will do that through the entire piece of meat, and not like on a bbq or a frying pan or whatever, when the outside is gray and nasty, and only the core of the meat is at where you want it.

With a sous vide your entire piece of meat is perfectly cooked, and then you just take it out of the vacuum bag, throw it on the BBQ to get that nice sear, and you have the most perfect piece of meat you have ever tasted, without the nasty.

Yeah, but you're cooking your meat from the outside in, and only the very inner part will be at the level of cooked that you want. With a sous vide, all of the meat will be what you want, and then you just seer it afterwards, and baste it and whatever, to get 100% of what you want, instead of 10%.

30 second of seer/basting, and it's going to to be the most glorious piece of meat you ever ate.

You can get a sous vide setup (which literally means by vacuum), where you vacuum pack your meat, put it in a water bath with a sous vide stick immersed in it. You can never overcook your meat with this method. You just choose what level of done you want, and it will never go over that. When it's done you take it out of the bag, seer/baste it, and it will the most tender, most flavourful meat you've ever tasted. It's not a big investment.

It works with everything from vegetables to meat to fish and whatever.

If you want to take your cooking to the next level, this is where you go. It's not a big investment. What you need is a vacuum packer, some bags, a sous vide stick, and a big container of water that your packed food stuffs will fit into with the sous vide stick, and off you go.

Normal cooking goes from seering to cooking, whilst sous vide goes from cooking to seering, but the results are night and day. Sous vide always produces tender, juicy results, and you can never overcook anything, because the water temp that you set on your sous vide stick is what it's going to be, so you can't over or undercook anything even if you tried, and then you just seer/baste it after it's done in the bath, and Bob's your uncle.

Simply put, they aren’t blocks in game, from what I understand. However, I saw a great you tube video by KetMol on using the rake on the existing path to spread that path… it was in his video with the dirt roof.

You can probably do that technique on any landscape type if you have some near you.

you know, my one issue with updraft is while it lifts you up pretty high, it just brings you right back down, so it's only really good right near a cliff at the end of your flight.

also why can even the weakest of enemies intterupt my melee attacks? :S 2 handed weapons feel nearly pointless against most enemies cause of this.

It doesn’t “bring you back down,” that’s just a camera effect. Fly along a cliff sometime where you can see the top to have reference for your height and use updraft and you’ll see you keep the altitude you gain from it, at least until you naturally lose it again from continuing to glide

feels a bit like runescape with a bit of fable mixed in. the lands scape reminds me of fable a s well and it also reminds me of biopunk with the different "camps" of baddies and sometimes a giant one too. little no mans sky with the terrain tools(multitool) and the way we deal with the base perimeter and npc's. bit of minecraft with the raw cube building and also a bit of scrap mechanic with the placing of tiny blocks. all with the usual rpg stuff.. i love it

I thought about it, after working with buildings that have them they appear to be ambient growth like grass. If you shoot it with an ice bolt it disappears and in a few seconds grows back. So not sure how it could be done

Most of the work for me is in terraforming. I like to level the grounds as much as possible and some places are just a LOT of cut and fill

Common glitch imo - i have had to deal with - get another character go back into that spire, my experience at least 3 times it would show as completed very annoying. I have had it with a group as well same issue, I complete the spire & yet another person had to climb to the top for the quest to update. Good Luck

It's the bugs that cause the problem they spawn when he is vulnerable so you spend that window killing of the bugs. Those things can do a lot of damage to a squishy so need to eliminate them

If not for the bugs it wouldn't have been nearly as difficult

Why would you stay away from the wyvern when it's stunned and vulnerable? Go literally under it and spam your spells, the bugs come near you to hit you and they'll die from the fireball aoe damage?

From the start of the game till very end of accesible areas i havent felt underpowered for a second as mage, completely opposite. It just melts. While when i played with my friend from times to times with him as melee he felt power crept, could only tank hits.

Something wrong with your setup, not the game, I think. I can play for 8 hours straight, no issues. In fact, in my 160 hours (not a huge amount for buying on release day), I think I've crashed once.

I'd check your drivers, your GPU/CPU usage, and your system temps while playing.

Cause that's not normal. The game is extremely stable compared to, say, a Bethesda game.

If that's the cause, did you disable Hyperthreading in your BIOS, like the threads suggest?

If you can repro the issue, then attempt the fixes, and succeed in fixing it, you provide better info and assistance than "drop me a dev build" (cause, yeah, they'll give a rando a custom beta)

All time Steam Peak of 160 thousand players. Less than a double dozen threads about this issue. Additionally, the issue affects other games, I've seen some from BG3, for example. This leads me to think the issue isn't the games, it's the Vulkan environment, since Enshrouded and BG3 don't use anything remotely like the same engines...

And if it's a Vulkan issue, it won't be "fixed" by these devs. They might find a work-around. I hope they do.

AMD users had a similar bug. We had to roll back drivers because Vulkan dropped a specific feature.

Additionally, the... crap, can't remember. The Workstation AMD gpus, had a Vulkan issue.

Devs are asleep, and they don't typically read/respond to inquiries here.

That being said, report the bug. The odds of them seeing it will be a lot higher if you do so, relying on someone to read a random discord message is incredibly slim.

You won't ever see them giving anyone a custom dev/beta environment to test one bug.

ive had the vulkan lost issue for several games. For some reason doing a sight underclock of my card has fixed it for me for the most part. I havent had a vulkan specific crash in a while. Other crashes on the otherhand are quite plentiful, some of which i know are my fault :P.
