Hey I have had a bug for quite awhile now. I already cleared the hollow halls in my friend's server but when I try to do it on my own world, it's not progressing. I watched a bunch of videos and the quest should update to "Descend into the Hollow Halls" upon reaching the entrance. There could skill called Arrow Recovery which gives the chance initially and increases the percent recovered

Also the drip feed strategy is just really terrible for business tbh if you aren't a live service game

You generate more sales/playerbase/attention by doing occasional big releases, rather than frequent tiny patches

Which is easy to understand from the consumer POV. You'd be much more excited to see that your favorite game just had a massive update with pages of changelogs and huge new expansions, rather than looking at the store page and seeing that the most recent patch just fixed a few bugs and added some new decorations or something.

Same goes for news sites/games reviews/journalists. They'll probably ignore little updates, but they'll cover the big stuff

And honestly even live service games still do that lol, "fornite just reworked its entire map" is much more exciting for players than "tomato town changed a few buildings"

Game devs used to be what indies are today. Games were really well done. When they started getting bought up by these big companies who didn't understand what made them great (and successful) thats when they started going down the toilet. Indies are old school devs making a comeback

At this point there are better open world engines than creation engine... Much better. But I imagine the vast majority of their devs have been working on it for so long that switching to a brand new one would be more costly/a bigger drop in quality than just continuing to work on creative engine.

Kinda the same with us here at Keen, most of our senior devs are just used to working on custom engines at this point. Forcing them to use like, unreal or something, would probably just result in worse games. Also in our case it's what helped us make such a compelling voxel system, that wouldn't have been really possible (or at least not easy) in UE5 or something.

i basically closed NMS because once you have an almost full ship, almost full inventory, almost all technologies, you aren't really driven to get full. and beyond that i was never really into wall placement games, prefer block builders. the prefabs offer little flexibility and are kind of ugly as well. in terms of what really was annoying, it was hunting a planet for 5 hours looking for an S rated power hotspot, so i could build an under water base. Honestly, they should have allowed players to see them, or just allowed us to have the best power output for free if we use the top tier power option... so I couldn't be bothered to continue this torturous process and closed the game.

a storm crystal is worth 200k each, and you grab 5 in 30 seconds to 1 minute

Just keep the NPC's at a base with better rested buff and only use the higher base for travel. That's what I did. Settled at the Blue Goblet inn. The rested starts at 20 without even adding items. Mines at 73 now.

Nope. On stackable Items you only get teh LMB = Move, CTRL + MW = Split stack, RMB = Actions and Del = Delete.

discord is notoriously a bad program that takes like 10 years to release good moderation options

it's going to take them 10 more years to give us better forums lol
