Don't pay real money for halfsword loadouts btw, you can learn how to make them yourself in about half an hour and it's super simple once you get the hang of it. This is a basic anduril concept I made in about ten minutes a little while ago

Some stuff don’t work as before anymore. I believe maybe in some backend updates or unannounced mini updates of the game, some stuff changed, it may not be weapon related but Willie or movement related, I don’t know, just wild guess, but definitely I realized some character of my weapons had changed and many were no longer as lethal or nimble to use, in the sense that they become heavier and I get more entanglement during side switches etc. one of reasons I stopped too, just waiting to play the vanilla ea game as it is.

all you have to do is pick a tier and select a loadout afterwards and just press play demo in freemode.
if you want to select different loadouts in the same tier, you simply choose another loadout and hold g to go to the next round.

Since Early Access is postponed, I've started modifying the HS Enhancer to see what's possible. The goal, if possible, would be to create something similar to UUU (modify the map. It would be more "primitive," though)

HS Enhancer was the easiest and quickest entry point for prototyping (I'm primarily a C# developer, not C/C++ or UE5, so i'm learning with this project).
Not everything works yet (eg I can move, but can't spawn staticmeshes)

Due to the lack of a license on the repository, I'm not supposed to modify/publish it

Actually, my long-term vision is for HS Enhancer to become the foundation for any other mod in the game, essentially a UE4SS-like framework built specifically for Half Sword. The goal is to simplify mod development and allow players to experience everything the base game doesn’t normally allow. This will always remain within the limits set by the developers for the demo, but there will be much more room to expand once EA is released.

Later this month, when I have more time, I will revisit all the features I left halfway done and begin working on more advanced functionality.

At some point in the mod’s development, probably around version 1.0, once I feel it is in a solid state to build upon, the project will no longer be something I work on alone and will instead become a community-driven project that others can contribute to.

I've finished my prototype: I can modify a map using existing assets, and I have a CSV file template for exporting/importing a map configuration (which can therefore potentially be shared).

Now I have a codebase to create a standalone application from scratch in C# that wouldn't include your work. I think just Dumper-7 as a library will be sufficient.

I spoke with McWonderbeast a few weeks ago: their main concern is related to decompiling and modifying packages, so no sharing of modified packages. So, in theory, this project respects that and will help the community while waiting for Early Access. But I'll clarify this in due course if I actually develop this standalone project

a lot of modded katanas have issues with thrusting because they have a falchion blade component hidden inside the blade to make the curve. I've done a little bit of testing with it and it seems to depend a lot on how the components are ordered in the loadout file, but it never works quite right

u cant share map mods, and ppl use UE4SS/repak/fmodel w/ bindings i presume

also mayb something that converts .umap to fbx or so for opening in ue5 but idk im new to modding

furthest i got was opening pit map but it was black prolly due to no lightmaps

the pooled saves folder is hidden, you’ll have to find it somewhere in your settings to show hidden folders

Hey guys, whenever I use the Half Sword Enhancer (the only mod I own), scale up my character somewhere around/above 1.40, and I throw a Willie at the ground hard enough to injure him, the game crashes with the typical “fatal error” screen. Does anybody have any help or suggestions on how to fix this?

so theres actuallly no way to fix the horrendous fps other than waiting for the game to come out

yea its a demanding game u could lower ur resolution and play on low unless ur pc is just that bad

i got a 3060 and i play on all low and it runs alright
