There is many techniques, especially with Halfswording that can literally throw a combatant onto the ground.
For example, blade under armpit, handle on shoulder, twisting and pushing. This is a technique that can throw armored opponents on the ground, but you can’t do that in Half Sword. (I’m not good at describing it, maybe a Hema buff can explain better)

That was another thing that made me wonder. Could Verso have been more than a painter? He said his real love was writing music. I know writing music is not the same as the games "Writers", but perhaps music is a whole other mystical art along side Painting and Writing.
