Goddamn lads, at 3am Thursday morning in my upstairs bathroom I felt a sudden need to drink water, I went downstairs and made myself a glass of water, meanwhilst feeling increasing dizzy... Sat down and drank most of the glass, but clearly, It was too late.

Next thing I remember I was face down on the slate tile floor on the other side of the kitchen, covered in my own blood. The entire length of my left eyebrow was torn open and seperated by almost a centimeter and the fingernail on my left middle finger was pushed up into my finger by a few millimeters.

is learning physics just debunking a lot of misconceptions and find reasoning behind it

1. Light propagates from the light source like a ripple in a liquid.

2. Most of that ripple or wave hits the wall which the two slits are cut from, but where the slits are the wave passes through, and since it passes through two slits it is now effectively two adjacent ripples.

Putting a detector before each slit removes the pattern because the pattern is an emergent property of the single light wave passing through two slits and as a result interfering with itself.

If you put the detectors before the slit you are dealing with a single wave that is not interfering with itself.

The problem here that you must understand with scientific thought experiments is that they almost never actually alligns with reality, they are only analogous.

For example schrodingers cat does not apply to any actual cat in a box, you could not perform that scenario with a cat.

The cat represents an electron that exists in multiple states at the same time, opening the box or "observing the cat" basically just means you force the electron to materialise itself as one distinct state out of its multiple or infinite potential states.
