Good day to everyone. I've been aware of Half-Sword for a good while but I only recently got a PC good enough to run it properly. I have a pretty extensive background in Buhurt and more recently more Harnischfechten, though due to family I've had less time to do it. This game absolutely get me my fix of armored violence with minimal prep 😄

I guess it's hema, though I don't attend a Hema club. The Buhurt club I've been a part of for over 10 years has a bunch of members who are kind of burnt out on buhurt so we have been studying some manuscript on our own, particularly Jeu de la Hache as well as Fiores armored longsword

But I got into Buhurt in 2014 and I fell in love with armored combat, though during the pandemic there was a big break for many and kind off a big shift in mentality within buhurt towards more a competetive sport and less history and good vibes. So about a year ago we just started doing armored hema with a couple other guys and it's great fun, just hard to find time for it now that I have a kid and more work

I've done both duels and mass battles. 5vs5 is the most common category. The rules are veey simply just make the fighters on the opposing side fall down by hitting them with blunt weapons (no thrusts allowed)
