Off topic kinda, but I wonder if it would be possible for a game dev to basically mix Mordhua with Halfsword.

So like, simulated physics, with realistic and historically accurate swings, attacks, speeds, and stances, mixed with the mechanics of mordhua, with preset moves, that the physics sim translates.

Its just a thought i had for a bit when i play mordhua.
I love mordhua, but tbh, its not AS realistic as id like, especially with ppl spinning at mach fuck and feint spamming, and one shotting you in the back of the head with a maul, which isnt even a historically accurate weapon.

Imagine something where if you turn your back, you can immediately be punished, just like real life.

Or a defense/offense system that works like mordhuas omnidirectional swing mechanism but with a physics sim, so certain moves are faster or slower, or more or less effective in certain stances, and you can actually hold a parry, but it depends on where your sword is as you hold parry.

So like chivalry in that regard, but it uses where your sword is instead of just holding down the block button.
So then theres gaps, and feints could be more realistically effective or ineffective.

Drags and accels would hopefully be exterminated too, because if its a physics sim, the speed of the weapon helps determine the damage, but swinging as fast as possible could also lower the damage output in certain cases.

And having armor would actually feel like having armor, needing to aim for gaps or deal blunt damage.
