basically, right now there are three continents: Gersvania (where it starts), Borusk (Chapter 2), and Terminus (Chapter 3), and the story starts during a buildup of an all out war in Gersvania

the player's group is a monster hunting team, composed of rejects of the many kingdoms from the continent

they get temporary protection and money for ridding certain regions of dangerous monsters, bandits and alike

since the player character cant just be a random ass delinquent i tied his proeficiency to an ancient warrior from the kingdom he was born in

so if he is a warrior, the ancient warrior will be melee, if he is a mage, the ancient warrior will be ranged with spells, etc

and the stealth of the party is directly tied to the ancient warrior's nemesis, wich means they are bound to clash and while they are NOT clashing the world starts falling off its axis

It’s your story, so it’s ultimately up to you, but it can be fun to have a reluctant hero or someone kind of thrusted into a role

They do, however, realize that this shit still works. This is the wild west though. There’s no fucking way they have the means to replicate anything from these sites

So I like to think they’d improve upon things by more or less just kinda jamming it in there or making it work lol

For example, you could have a lever action with the barrel taken out, and the batteries and magnet coils of a gauss rifle just slapped on in its place

The magazine isn’t even modified to take the new, smaller rounds, you just gotta say to yourself “I’m not going to load this with conventional ammo”
