EA beats the demo in the long run, progression mode doesn't cap with muscle gain so you can infinitely get stronger and stronger. When you die you dont start from scratch, you keep whatever insured items you had and also have the choice to start a new willie at the same class youd reached before dieing.

Slow start to the EA but by about 20 - 30 hours you should be pretty darn good

Not completely different. Some weapon weights are adjusted, and blunt damage is effective in every tier

You also start with kinda low strength, but can train by fighting

for example you have a hard time handling a hoe (esp in beggar), but the greataxe is light enough for you to dual wield 2 of them effectively

you also knock down and get knocked down more easily, and nut kicking is a thing

lalt thrusting with onehanded weapon equipped to your right instead adjusts your guard to block overheads when you pull back

Turn down your blood setting slider, blood in the demo can cause crashes. Also make sure you’re running on directx11 which you can do in the game settings. Adjusting graphics can help too if necessary but it’s mainly the blood and dx11

I just want splitscreen to stop crashing every 3 seconds. There's some really deeply frustrating problems with the way some things have been implemented in this game, which is extremely puzzling to me because this game also has one of the most detailed, immersive, complicated ik/ motion warping implementations I've ever seen, much less the armor layering, dismemberment, and actual accurate swordfighting and grappling techniques that are possible in the system.

I've fixed so many basic things with .ini edits and steam input tweaks on my own, like the volumetric cloud splitscreen clipping thing and the swapped input thing. But I can't fix memory leak issues and it's maddening not having clear, easy to find communication of when/ how they'll be handling the dev cycle. Even just a FAQ/ Known issues list/ high visibility weekly update providing a pulse check on the devs would kill so much of this angst that's been growing among players in here, and help folks be a lot more patient

Like having to scream into the void and use discord's search features to find breadcrumbs of dev updates is NOT what we should have to be resorting to.

Ue5 is a very good engine, but epic markets it as being piss easy to work with, when it's not. It's very finicky and difficult and weird and confusing and you have to really know exactly how to tune it in so many dumb little ways

Extremely. It shouldn't be on in a game like this. Having the stock ue5 volumetric clouds on in this game makes no sense. They could make the game look just as good by separating out their levels from the lighting level, making a baked lighting profile for each level that corresponds with each potential time of day, then load that in when you start a level. Instead it seems to be the full box-kit sun sky setup and they either just set the directional light rotation or keep it to a different position.

Absolutely impossible to disable. It's not something that could be disabled because it's how the level was built fundamentally it does impact performance but it's not going to be what you're beefing with. It would require editor access to change and while I heard that the game's .pak files are unencrypted I've never tried opening them
