Brother. Genuinely, Youre fine. You were just careless, you let him get on your side and hit you in the ribs. As far as the weapon you use, your outcome was good. If you had better awareness of their position you wouldn’t have gotten knocked down and out. Also, try holding RMB for the halfsword position with your mace when you’re getting up. You won’t always be able to grab it properly but if you can and hold it above you, it can soften the blows enough to not knock you back down.

The mace, even 2h, has a much shorter reach Than the polearms most of the opponents use in the baron tourney, so youll always be at a slight disadvantage using it there
