Yes this was mostly believed to just be a by product of the added strength system. It was mixed reporting after everyone was accustomed to the strength and overall changes.
Some testers felt that it was way to floppy in all cases, others reported it only being too floppy with custom weapons.
The overall consensus at this point is even at max strength there are many instances of the wrist strength not being strong enough for an enjoyable experience.

the character with a height of 0.2 had a weight of 62kg
the character with a height of 1.5 had a weight of 73kg
the character with a height of 2.5 had a weight of 83kg
all three were tested using the same dumbell weapon, weighing just over 10kg, and all three struggled just as much to swing the dumbell. There was over 20kg of mass added to the player, but they cant swing any better because that weight is purely in height, not strength
comparatively, this is a character with 0.2 height, but 1.0 in their strength/weight stat, bringing them up to 83kg. Despite being significantly shorter than the 2.5 height character, he has much more control over the weight because that extra 20kg is muscle, not height
