Gore seems to still be an issue for people sometimes, myself included. Try turning down the blood slider

I havent played like since the making of the demo, but I know that the sheer size of the demo would not cause as much problems as a newly EA version of the game, that even though its new, it adds lots of shit, capable of having more bugs, than a smaller, shorter demo.
