Its not realistic for the eyes.
Make a visor hole with your hands in front of you, and look through the hole at various distances from your face.
That would be your field of vision for various helmets.
Or better yet use some paper and cut an eye slit hole in it.

The first person camera placement at the moment is in the center of the eyes. Wear one of the barbutes, the one that isn't entirely invisible in first person, or go to the demo and put on a barbute, you'll see what I mean

I agree that's what I mean. Not fully transparent, but part of the helmet transparent so you can see through it, especially the surrounding eye holes/slits and possibly get less transparent the further away from the eye slits you get, though that may be too needlessly complex, transparency alone would be enough. Not fully invisible unless it entirely blocks the camera. A bit of blur on it too is a good suggestion.

the lack of collisions was a fix for the weak wrists causing lots of glitchy self-collisions, i agree its a terrible fix but it was what they could do in the shortest term, im sure they've heard the news that people think wrists are weak

It's not a case of taking steps back, look at EA as a different build. Same situation happened going from itch.io to demo. Same situation happened going from dungeon to itch.io.

Each time, they refined what they were working on over time for the better. In this case, they're apparently adding a lot of new stuff. New systems (physics/gore/weapons/armor/etc), so it may not all work exactly like you think it should based on the nice and polished demo. Give them some time. If it's still this wonky in a year or more then I'd start getting worried.

The theory being bumped around was that the EA build is based on the older playtest rather than the final version of the demo that we got.
The overpowered blunt damage, the character balance sometimes being out of wack, dogshit AI.
A lot of development time must've been spent on new content rather than porting the good parts of the demo.
And playtesting must not have been thorough, or the playtesters weren't harsh enough about certain issues.

It's been a month which isn't very long for a small team working on a large game like this, especially when they've already stated the next update will take more time. I've already seen a lot of people complaining in similar ways especially all the people calling it "abandonware" when they didn't release a patch for literally just 7 days. Then they finally did release a patch, the latest one, and now people are still doing the same thing.

I'm actually glad they aren't wasting time coming up with some PR statements, I'd rather them focus all of their attention on working on the game than consoling people who think they're exit scamming or the game's abandonware because they don't keep them up to date just to let them know they're still working on the game.
