the stick under your weapon indicates the center of mass.
most swords historically were balanced around an inch or two away from the guard, whether they were designed for cutting or thrusting.
the center of balance is not the end all be all however, you will want to keep the total mass of a sword under a reasonable weight as well depending on your current characters weight.
I think most of my swords stay under 2000 grams unless I'm trying to recreate a greatsword.

Took a bit of a beating on the Veteran tourney but managed to win the final round by grabbing my surrendered mercs and getting them back up into the fight even though I had brain damage and couldnt stand up straight

If you retire your character and when creating a new character set their "background" slider to 0 it should reset your rank. Keep in mind retiring your character will erase all gear currently equiped. You will keep all your gold and equiptment stored currently. If you want to hard reset (No gold no equiptment) you need to go into the game files and delete your safe and turn off steam cloud saving.

Another fun thing to do is if you're getting pinned/are too close quarters to aim, just hitting Left click makes you hipfire, zero accuracy at all since its just shooting wherever the crossbow ends up pointing at, but still cool.

Make sure you've exited out of Half Sword then turn off Steam Cloud saves in Half Sword Properties>General

Press Windows key + R to bring up a run box, in the run box put %localappdata%\HalfSwordUE5\Saved\SaveGames and click OK or press enter, once you're in the folder, delete the 'GameProgress.sav' file if you want to entirely reset your progress.

To back up your save, copy the GameProgress.sav file to a designated folder named something like backup1. If you need to revert your save to the backup, simply copy the file back into its original location and overwrite.

they dont bleed so attacks that would usually kill a living person because of the bleed damage don't work and instead require repeated strikes to the head or torso. I think they also regenerate the same as the player.
they do dismember much more easily, but your sword might not be optimized for cutting, or theyre wearing armor.
