I’ve had luck(while using a poleaxe w a rear hook/spike) that you can sometimes stick their hand or wrist with it to get a disarm

Like if I swing over my left shoulder, miss them by a little bit and swing too deep in front of their torso, can sometimes pull back at the right angle to get their forearm

i play on the soldier tier, i was using a standard long spear and managed to hook the haft around his arm and the back of his head, his shoulder cracked and he dropped his shield

so you can forcibly disarm by winding their arm like you can IRL

I wish there was better mechanics for performing takedowns or trips, not what they intended for the game at all but being that he was stuck with his weapon arm outwards with my body positioned to his right, I theoretically coulda hooked a leg behind his and tripped him. Even then, the AI is unreasonably good with the spears and often catches me in the hip when I try strafing. Sometimes I'll manage to smack it aside and they'll just magnetize it to my neck or armpit

Being able to change controls would be nice, or at least make thrust mode a toggle since it's really awkward to try and hold alt and stay moving in the heat of the moment

Because while double click thrusts are reasonably effective with swords and such, it feels way too wobbly with polearms on the player side.
