Can’t be removed but you can choose not to entertain round by using the Half Sword Enhancer “Kill” button. Any one appearing with that weapon you just press Kill they die immediately and you go to the next round.

Not to say they won’t do anything different in the future, only they know. But as it is right now I can’t imagine they make any major changes to the abyss like that
