How do you simulate your sword stopping when it comes into contact with another weapon or object.
It's impossible. It's why Blade and Sorcery is the way it is. I enjoy it, but it'll never have simulated combat because of hard limitations of VR.

Finding the ideal paths your weapon swings along will help.
Also make sure you work on making steady swings, your weapons have weight to them so you will need to swing slower for some to get better strikes.
You should aim for hitting at the "peak" of your swing when your momentum is greatest, finding your ideal range for the chosen weapon is also good practice.

Fast only really works for smaller light weapons. Longswords and anything heavier you should try to be more measured in your strikes.
Also give strikes "breathing room" inbetween each swing to get your momentum under control.
Once you ahve a better understanding of momentum you can flow it into a new attack as well.
The heaviest weapons will really require you to use your body as a lever to get the most out of them.

Idk if it will help, but visualizing where your strike will end up helps. Your source of control is your hands/arms. The tip of the blade trails along wherever they go.
I think of my moving my hands to where they need to be and see the sword trail along to connect where my hands point it to.
Knowing the paths your weapon takes will help with visualizing accurate strikes.
