the design and spread of munitions grade armour was the point in history where a full harness became wildly impractical.

the first one is a much later designed 3 quarter harness, it was likely designed for heavy cavalry in the age of pike and shot, the second was designed a fair bit eariler to stop more conventional weaponry

a lot of the sophisticated armours that still survive until today were ornamental, designed for tourneys and parades rather than battle.

obviously we still see examples of three quarter harness and other armours commonplace in conflicts like the English Civil War, but they weren't designed to encompass your entire body, they were designed to negate the impact of firearms on cavalry.

specifically shots aimed centre mass, that would incapacitate or outright kill a cavalryman

again, there's a difference between tourney harness and a battle-harness. And early 15th and late 15th

by the end of the 15th century, armour factories were fairly commonplace, early 15th century armour was generally more artisinal. The later equipment seen at the turn of the century was far easier to produce due to advancements in metallurgy and smithing techniques.

The spread of firearms across Europe also made full plate less desirable on a battlefield, most would exchange a full harness for a reduced, but thicker one.

Tourney armour is generally also thicker, and more protective, whilst reducing mobility. You couldn't fight in a Frogmouth helmet.
