Something that "might" contribute to falling over more easily, is the invisible object bug that is still present. Before the april 01 patch, this bug also included a blood gushing/squirting sound on repeat. The sound element is gone, but there is still weird uneven footing after Giving up in a few matches. As if the body is still on the ground, but invisible.

Hitting enemies does feel impactfull anymore. Also feels like NPCs have some forced movement which doesn't care about physics and those just kill you no matter what.

I suspect the game thinks there's something there when it isn't, then it makes the legs get all funky. I noticed in third person that in a certain spot my dudes leg will just suddenly go upwards. Sad part is it doesn't affect NPC's so only I get to be screwed over with that lol

Moresoe, In peasant tier, you can randomize your weapon until you get the one you like.
Then you enter a fight, and lose the match
you are now locked to that weapon, until your succeed in completing that peasant tier.

Another example, if you get to Commoner and select the Longsword. After you have chosen to fight, you are locked to using a long sword until you kill the Commoner Boss. you will not be able to select a different weapon between loses.

Stabbing Advice 🔪

When stabbing with alt (with swords), pull your weapon in closer to your body as opposed to extending your elbow out. It's much more accurate and stable.

Alternatively If it's a two handed weapon it is recommended to hold right click first, then drag your mouse to aim the weapon. Then from there double click and hold left mouse (you can try alt a little as well but clicking is more stable)
This is a much more stable and accurate stabbing pose, and a proper halfsword thrusting stance.

To practice your aiming, there's two different ways you can keep your FOV.
Third Person- with Low FOV, so you get a closer view.
or alternatively;
First Person- with High FOV, so you get a wide view of your weapon and it's positioning.

I mean, you can use the sword to deal some concussive damage and you can use the halfsword position to throw the enemy, it all just depends. Keep experimenting and you'll find something that works for yourself, that's what makes the game fun 😃 👍 There's nothing that's necessarily better than another option, except for the plançon but we don't talk about that

honestly my like aprox 10-15 hours in the playtest / previous beta was all spent using 2 handed swords Im pretty good at using them I just lack in EVERY other compartment which is causing me heavy turmoil in the gauntlet 💔
