The axe is the only weapon that I find satisfying for the level of gore you can produce. Some of the stuff is a little overtuned, but a lot of that comes down to the level of gore. If you're not feeling like cutting a dude in half with just about anything, then go down a gore level. Max gore tends to produce max gore.

It is definitely quite difficult with the nature of Physics games. Sometimes you'll just get slapped with the power of god and your bones explode.

It's likely because the length of the weapon is so great. You swing polearms very quickly in halfsword which means the business end is moving at wicked speeds, as a result you can clip the weapon through the armour hitbox.

I believe Billhook in game is still much quicker or lighter than it would be irl. The only actual historical melee weapon I know of that could actually puncture plate armour with any effectiveness was the Bec de corbin.

The idea is that you swing the beak not the hammer straight into someone and due to the forces at that end being driven into a small point it can punch through metal.

Early 3 opponents you can reasonably kill with well placed stabs from starting knife. From there it's mostyl rng. Try to get spiky stick polearm as it is the best one in the game. If you fight enemies with polearms try to force their backs onto the wall, when they hit it , they get thrown slightly off balance, leaving you small Window to attack

I have only used stance switches mid swings to sometimes give them extra power. You can do pretty nice left sided hit with an axe that hits enemy's head from right side if you switch normal stance to half axing after going past enemy's head

yeah the principle isn't too bad, you just have to get used to timing and semi-predicting opponent's moves from their sword placement

Chest is clean but shields can parry you - also you can get 'stuck' in the chest.

Another tip is if the opponent gets either hand past the point of your spear socket climb the haft so that you're in the 'half-sword' position
