Afaik they’re not ruling out the possibility. I guess games that are this physics-heavy require much more expensive use of servers and have much fewer options available in the way of lag compensation. Lag in these types of games makes things unplayable very quickly apparently. I’m no game dev though, take that all with a grain of salt

There is nothing really stopping this game from being multiplayer in theory. Server costs can be negligible if a consensus scheme can be implemented-removing the need for server side simulation. The biggest limiting factors for this game is that they probably didn't design it with network architecture in mind meaning it will be a nightmare to do so now, the chaotic nature of the physics simulation, and the poor player experience when lag is involved.

Stabbing Advice 🔪

When stabbing with alt (with swords), pull your weapon in closer to your body as opposed to extending your elbow out. It's much more accurate and stable.

Alternatively If it's a two handed weapon it is recommended to hold right click first, then drag your mouse to aim the weapon. Then from there double click and hold left mouse (you can try alt a little as well but clicking is more stable)
This is a much more stable and accurate stabbing pose, and a proper halfsword thrusting stance.

To practice your aiming, there's two different ways you can keep your FOV.
Third Person- with Low FOV, so you get a closer view.
or alternatively;
First Person- with High FOV, so you get a wide view of your weapon and it's positioning.

Actually the devs said they’re adding fully telekinesis-powered movement where the game will actually send transmitters into your brain through an agonizing process called intercerebral conjunction so when you think of an action the game will develop it and do it on the fly, as well as the thoughts and emotions of Willie being able to be transported directly into you. Itch.io version is the most out of date, there’s more maps and customization but the combat is much less refined. Steam demo is newer than itch.io but not the newest, it’s a dungeon crawler with bosses to fight and items to loot. The combat is more refined but still simple. The steam playtest is the newest version with the most refined combat and multiple gamemodes like 1v1, team vs team, you vs team, etc.

If I’m fighting a spear user it’s lots of backing up until I see a good moment to get around or under the spear and then staying close where you have the advantage. Or if I’m fighting a sword and shield user I might use a high guard get over their shield and to counter high attacks but also use my footwork to counter low attacks which a high guard would be weak to

You can find the old version in the Steam database and enter the ID in a download command in the Steam console. I did that with the first version of the abyss demo
