oh, since you asked about disarming, i just got this clip which is pretty much how I do it, but on the settings i'm on it's less of a disarm and more of a dismember.
Lock their weapon, twist the hilt of your sword into their wrist, and it'll either cut their hand off or wrench their weapon out of their grip.

right before the ai swings at you they tend to telegraph their movements, like if he is gonna swing from left to right in downward swing he will put his sword in upper left position, you have very little time to react but there is just enough to put your sword in the way, either just move your sword so it is in his way or try to swing at his sword, or where his sword will be, idk it takes practice to get used to

Solution: Clean reinstall
Delete all files relating to the half sword playtest existing in your local files. Be sure to back up your screenshots folder if you took any!
Navigate to and delete the Half Sword Playtest folder located in the following directory.
C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common
Navigate to and delete the Saved folder located in the following directory.
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\HalfSwordUE5
Navigate to and delete the folder VersionTest54 located in the following directory.
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\VersionTest54
Finally, reinstall Half Sword Playtest.
be sure to get ALL files listed above before reinstalling, and it should work. Let me know your results please!
