I think devs just made that Willie would try halfswording without checking if shield is equipped (basically devs didn’t code the check ). Or it may be intentional.

shields can't be broken, but weapons can go through them (like a poleaxe). But that's always to the advantage of the shield user because the opponent's weapon would get stuck in the wood, hence disarming him. It would be a cool mechanic but not as a way to counter shields.

I was playing a carnage and an AI got another to surrender without much injury, so he was on his knees, but the surrender doesn't break grabs for the AI i guess so he was just begging for his life holding the other dudes shirt as i came and lopped his head off. felt bad lol

honestly all the buttons have hella utility. x in upswings with polearms for a flourish grip swap, tapping alt flicks the tip of your weapon towards the aim point, shift while stationary increases the power of your attacks because you widen your stance, it also lets you spin faster for juicy roundhouses... I'm sure there's a bunch of other tiny tech that people like m00 use to school on me constantly lol

the transitions on the 2h axe are cheeky, doing the right click grip from the left and right clicking mid swing towards the right gives you huge 1 handed reach with bigg momentum, yet to get a clip but it's big sneaky
