do you think the gore might react poorly at first to the physics tho? cause there are a lot of times where ive been fighting with swords and the swords will bug out and have a collision explosion. Usually itll knock someone out if not just killing me outright. I dont really care about that cause its a play test and im sure they know about it but I do wonder if the gore and blood will react and do something crazy when it happens again.

They have successfully implemented split screen during the Tokyo games show so it will be coming, as mentioned the demo also has a split screen mod. Full online multiplayer is highly unlikely given how physics based half sword is, and how difficult it would be to properly implement those physics into multiplayer

If you're talking about the playtest, it's similar to what Sir Daniel said except the folder is called VersionTest54. An easy way to get to it is right click the game in your library and hit browse local files, then open up the screenshots folder

Yes
They're using something called vertex painting to mask where the wounds are. Vertex painting is literally painting each vertex in a specific color, this can be used to make the painted vertices transparent, like they're doing here. However you're also limited to the actual polygons of the mesh, as a vertex is just one of the corners of a polygon. The character mesh only has a finite amount of detail, so so will the vertex painting, and thus the wounds will look jagged.
It's kind of the same effect as having a low resolution texture

Not necessarily, AA is a post process effect and does not take into account how far or close you are to something. If you get closer than maybe 7 meters or something, you will still see the jaggedness.
There are ways to get a better edge, and I've proposed a solution for them that's stupidly easy to implement. But this is also definitely not their priority right now
