The arena mode will eventually just be the fighters guild in a town or multiple towns in Sui Generis, and the dungeon will just be one of many major dungeon crawls possible in the world. Really Exanima just has layers, tough to learn, very hard to master. autoblock is for the casuals

In For Honor or another simplified system sure, but in a game where the combat is meant to be physically simulated in one way or another, you block by either avoiding attacks or parrying.

For some weapons, the autoblock can mess you up while you actually trying to skillfully block
