i mean just from a business perspective it makes sense. people who use c.ai for free are a "burden," so to speak. they consume resources while not contributing financially. if the free users don't make up for what they're using it means they're a net negative, so the more free users they get the more they lose, hence needing to put more ads to try and balance things
