First of all Persona was not lying, they just didn’t precise in their TOS how long they’d be keeping the pictures. It was settled in January that they keep it 7 days maximum. Second, the leak that happened were merely their techniques of how they analysed pictures and such. They’re not « unsafe and unreliable », most saying it never did a spec of research. Their last data leak was 8 years ago and it was insignificant infos leaked

So persona is safe or trust, you picture will be deleted in 7 days if not lower, they might even delete it once the procedure is done

You are entitled not to do the age verification but all I can tell you is that the fake news on Persona usually comes from fear mongers

Discord didn’t partner with them at first when their tried to roll their first age verification. It was a completely different company from Persona that was unsafe, there were heavy leaks with them. However Discord will partner with Persona on March for their official age verification

It's a known bug. Liked characters, especially the ones you've liked in the past months are not showing up.

Best bet to find the bots you like is to follow the creators or screenshot the bot so you know which one it is

The AI uses an LLM, which is a statistical model for guessing what word should fill in a blank in a document. For CAI's purposes, the blank is always the next word. The bot is just trying to continue writing the story by filling in that blank. If it thinks your persona should have a chance to take action at this point, it may write the action if you don't

Hi, im new to discord and ive been having an issue with my c.ai lately (i use pawly) and ive noticed that whenever i initiate and talk with my usual bots (not made by me duh) they turned out to be dry and at the very least 1 short paragraph (usually they would send atleast 2 long paragraph or at least 3-4 long paragraph before this happened) any idea what is happening? And how do i fix this

Roar could also be good, it's also short but I've heard it gives good answers regardless

This happens to me on pipsqueak. What you have to do is get the bot to generate a message you like at least 2-4 times. Don’t be afraid to edit the message yourself to your desired length. Eventually the bot will get the memo and send consistently longer messages. The longer your message and the bots previous message, the better your next one will be.

Another thing is try not to be dry yourself. Ask questions or set up scenarios where the bot has something to respond with. If your message has no substance, chances are the next one they send won’t have any either.

I use roar the most because although it gives clipped answers and not quite what you wanted,it’s still really good and it sets a pretty good rp.

With A.I you have more freedom, as you can make your own (or someone already made one) and so there’s more you can do with it and don’t have to put in much effort, but it lacks that authenticity and genuineness with real people (assuming that person can write well enough and isn’t just sending single sentence replies).
The way I see it, A.I is more convenient but lacks overall genuine and quality of real people.
As for people, it might be the best piece of literature you’ve ever read, but since they are real people, they could randomly just break off and never respond, take forever or whatever it may be.

Miwa I noticed would forger a few things, but I did load a lot into its character description so I removed a few things, I haven’t tested it after.
As for my Teto bot, it was pretty consistent with only a few wrong descriptions but that’s cause I didn’t have space to describe the main characters before it’s character desc would get too loaded and forget things

But when that happens, I just edit the message and correct it, which seems to work

you know what i like better that bots? Scenes. You can take your desired bot and character, and slam them together, and what i have noticed is thus: no possessive bullshit. Short, consise, loaded, and detailed responses. You have a LOT more freedom to “bend” the AI. (Literally one of my characters had a miscarriage (i didn’t describe it much but the AI adapted wonderfully) and it was so damn emotional it made me cry. (Character AI makes me cry. Often) other than that, i wish there was more options for scenes. Kinda boring to see the same ones over and over again ngl.

It's really annoying even when you give feedback it still seems to keep doing it and now with the ads on the website it's just really taking me out of it

Best way I’ve found to bypass that (assuming you’re making your own bot) is to put something like
“{{char}} will under no circumstances speak for {{user}}”
And it works
