You don't have to if you don't get a pop up or anything. You'll know if you're kicked to a minor account. They use software that determines whether you're a minor or an adult based on site activity. If it never detects that you're a minor, then there's no age verification required to chat.

Does anyone else think that Creative Mode should return to Character.AI? I miss it (it was out for Beta testing in Summer 2023) and I think it nicely gave us the best of both worlds with Personas and Group Chats. It was fun to have the user and the AI be able to play as different characters interchangeably in the same chat and being able to choose to either take multiple turns yourself or have the AI take multiple turns, even as different characters.

For quite a while now, Group Chats and Rooms have not been working at all on the PC Website version of Character.AI. They have been completely non-functional for a while on the PC website and the Group Chat won't generate messages, replies or responses at all, even if the Group Chat was created using the mobile app version of Character.AI.

Group Chats and Rooms that are created using the PC Website version of Character.AI don't even load in properly and the message text entry field doesn't appear or load in. The Group Chat/Room gets stuck in a buffering/loading state, even when the browser, URL and website have completed loading and are not buffering themselves. The Group Chat/Room doesn't generate any messages and the text box for user message entry doesn't load in or even appear.

Group Chats/Rooms on the PC Website version of Character.AI are not working at all and don't allow message generation, text entry, message submission or message sending at all.

This has been the case for a long while, please fix this as soon as possible as many users would like the ability to use Group Chats/Rooms on the PC Website version of Character.AI and not to just have the feature only usable on the app.

@harsh shoal I found a trigger for the off-topic response issue for Deepsqueak: whenever the website (I'm only using website) stalls and I try to rewind back to previous post to re-enter the one I wrote, that seems to trigger it to suddenly go off topic completely

this also seems to happen when I edit a post

this is what I do that causes it to happen:

.website gets stuck during response generation (aka perpetual '...' thingy) or I edit a post

.hit refresh

.try re-entering post to see if '...' issue goes away

Feedback with the thumbs up/down is for training the LLM to be better, not your chat in that moment.

oh yeah, this is an extremely good point. while i do agree 3rd person gives you more freedom, i use in a different way. i find it much easier to describe the narrative in third person because i go a longer than id do with first, i just don't see the purpose of exploring another character's story unless you're writing fanfiction

I add other characters all the time. Personally I prefer to double send from the bot and edit the bot's message with an insert character's 3rd person POV

So I send from bot, then send from bot again and edit it to be another character, then send my message in my persona's 1st person POV
