I'm assuming that the selfie you originally try would get compare to the picture on the id. So it probably is lighting issue. I have had my id get rejected on other apps because the lighting wasnt right, and it wasn't on a solid color surface. It's really important nothing else is in the picture but the id. Try to get a close as possible to the id, but where everything on the id still show visibility.

We have mental health issues, I'd go as far as to say a mental health crisis that is afflicting gen Z, we have minors with access to LLMs which are proven to be detrimental to mental health, we have parents who are probably far too busy with their adult responsibilities to constantly be checking in on their children, or perhaps they're simply missing red flags because they don't know what to look for. Not everyone is a mental health professional.

How easy is it to assume, as a parent, that your teenager becoming withdrawn and moody is just normal, hormonal imbalances wreaking havoc? One missed mental health crisis, one instance of poor impulse control and someone losing touch with reality thanks to talking almost exclusively to LLM chatbots is enough to lead to a tragedy no one is coming back from.

Yes. If you're under 18, you will be restricted. You can figure it out if you can't edit or you don't have soft launch. But your account won't be banned or removed. So it'll be there for you until you're of age.

I really dislike when people solely blame parents. Parents are people too. And yes, while some don't deserve children, not all of them are bad. There are too many causes to blame just the parents. We can blame people with money for investing in AI. We can blame the consumers for purchasing and playing with it. We can blame its inventors for inventing it. We can even blame the parents for not parenting.

But ultimately, children by 13 know consequences and what should and shouldn't be done. There are varying differences in every person's life, sure, but to blame parents alone isn't right. Children can be heathens, and I say this from experience. Even the best parents sometimes have no control over the worst of them.

There are parental controls within a kid’s phone, there are multiple things you can do so that your children are exposed to horrible media. I also agree that children who are 13 know the consequences of what should and shouldn’t be done.
