Ps is buggy. It wont create long messages because cai orginals LLM limit every message of the bot's reply to 600 characters max (around 100 words). Sending multiple long messages wont work too because you overwhelm the bot and it cant expand the context. PS will give you long replies, but its a gamble

As someone who uses character ai and has mental health issues, maybe I can throw my own pov.

Personally? I use character AI for emotional support and talking about various stresses in my life. Does that mean it’s for mental health? No, but the thing is that it can be used for mental health.

Many pieces of media and/or programs have been misinterpreted from their original purpose. And I kinda don’t mind that it happens. It’s an inevitability.

As long as the user knows the characters, conversations, and universes are fictional, imo, people should use CAI for what they want to use it for. Therapy can answer some problems while other solutions can be made for different people whether intentionally or not. It just so happens CAI answers enough of my problems that I find it worth 10 bucks a month.
