from a technical perspective, every time the AI generates a new response, it uses server resources, even if the user is just editing something minor. so CAI treats it like a regeneration.

If you are using the chat style roar or dynamic, try changing it to something different. Roar and Dynamic have been bugged for most people and is causing the chat error, long replies, and cut off messages

Long story short, I think I kinda made it work. I'm still messing with it, but it works a good portion of the time. The models were changing a lot last night and today for me, so I can't really say much because they'll probably just change again lol. But it works over half the time.

What's cool though is that I found that by using dynamic greetings, we can basically use part of the OG greeting as an extended long definition if we word it right. I used the OG greeting as a directive, while using the long definition as RP examples that refer to the directive, instead of putting the directive and example messages all in the long definition. So instead of being confined to a 3200 long definition limit, I'm getting more just by utilizing the existing tools creatively. I don't know about non-plus, but as a plus member I get 4096 in my greeting. That's longer than the long definition. We basically have the potential to increase limit capabilities of the long definition by over double just by using the existing tools creatively.

It's not perfect, but I'm not expecting perfect because of the way things are worded, how the models work, and the fact I'm basically playing with transformers lol. Honestly, I'm pretty satisfied with it.

it's probably bcs you have some banned words in the description/ definition/ greetings/ tagline/ bot's name that's hindering it.
The banned words could be smth Harry Potter/DC/WB franchise's related words, violent words (like k!ll, sh, murd3r, etc), or just words that could be seen as inappropriate even if it looks harmless within context.

What you can do:

• If you're unsure which word causes your issue, you can try leaving one paragraph at a time and try to save it, to see which paragraph has the banned words.,
• Once you find which paragraph has it, you can try figuring it out on your own which word/s is/are the problem.

unfortunately the only solution i found to the chat thingys not working is shutting off ur device for atleast 5 minutes and restarting the app lol. it happens even on web browser (at least for pc and mac) but mostly on mobile devices

I wanted to give my early thoughts on DeepSqueak, as a person who uses c.ai for roleplay mostly and was a roar/soft launch/nyan(not as much) user i think i will be switching to DeepSqueak primarily. I probably wont even test it against others. It understands at times that its a roleplay and will speak out of character otherwise seems more interesting to me as a user (maybe because it's new?) but for roleplay i dont see a need to use others styles currently 🤷
