With the servers crashing very occasionally, even on the days where it crashed a few times in a day, I don't really see why it's nessecary to have slow mode on so consistently. I think it needs some fine-tuning to be on when the servers are more at risk of crashing.

But I also wonder if they keep it on almost permanently as a preventative measure. I think they could work on getting it to be more accurate to when there's an impending crash due to load.
