Pick a star wars rpg bot and use the first message to write a few things about yourself, like who your character is, how strong they are, their connections to some characters and all... and then pin it, it helps you set a bunch of rules and the AI also has some extra material to work around for you.

How blandly they reply and how well they remember things mainly also depend on you and your own responses.

For me, pin memories doesnt work like permanent token. Kinda like CEG feature.

CEG doesn't store info permanently like a database but embeds key context dynamically.

That's why subtly reinforcing pinned details in our prompts helps guide the AI to keep them relevant. Like, If I want the bot to remember that pin, I guide it in my prompts and they recognize it and will bring it up in the rp.

Max I pinned was 20 and it works.

Worth noting the last two times I've opened the app half my chats couldn't be seen or accessed until I deleted one and then 12+ chats would finally show up that I was missing at the bottom of my list. Not sure if anyone has experienced this.. but it sucks that I have to keep deleting a chat, then looking it up and reloading the history just so I can have acess to all my chats again.

So, for example:
You're talking to bot A.
You've been exchanging like 100 messages with them back and forth.

Now, if you want to duplicate it from the 100th messages, it might give you that error bcs there are too many messages to duplicate.
Not if you have too many chats in your History.

For some reason, a lot of popular (top 3 and even less popular bots of specific characters don't suffer from this) bots of different characters have their intro be in Russian. I'm sure that the intro isn't supposed to be in Russian. I'm from Russia. I don't want to roleplay in Russian because c.ai isn't too good at that language. Around a year ago, their intros were in English.
