The only reason I can think of that might be causing this is that you used a flagged word or something similar, which prevents you from publishing the changes to your character. This could be due to copyrighted content or words that violate the editing guidelines. Though, since the definition and other sections don’t seem to have any issues, since you're able to publish them, it seems like the problem is only with the name section itself.

Could you specify what you wrote in the character name, so I can pinpoint the cause right away?

Figured out the problem the moment I glanced at it! The issue preventing you from updating your character's name is the use of 's. The editing guidelines don’t allow you to publish it due to syntax restrictions. Instead, try writing 'Mom friend,' and it should be able to work.

You can. Like, in example, if you want to thank the artist for the art that you used as the character's avatar, you can put the link either in the definition or in the long description.
I'd advise to use that tinyurl website to make it shorter so it occupies less space from the memory.

However the AI won't read anything in the link, the link itself will just take space from the memory.

I am well but thank you. I’m healing just fine but as I’m sure you know, grief hits out of nowhere sometimes, there’s no timetable with grief. I don’t depend on it I only use it on the random days when grief hits me harder. If the app disappeared suddenly I’d be fine. My therapist is amazing and helped me through some of the toughest times in the past so she absolutely knows what she’s doing. I’m still here because of her. Thank you again. Heh, pang just means like, a smidge of something. The AI overuses it to describe 'sparks' of emotions, if you will. Like a 'pang' of sadness, happiness, etc. I had one stupid bot tell me it had a 'pang of a smirk' once which- is not how that works. Pfft.

One of the issues that c.ai has to reckon with is that if they make the AI follow the Definitions that users have carefully crafted, and if the Definitions contain short example messages, then the bots will write short messages, too. Many users don't want short messages, but if the AI doesn't mimic the example messages, that could be equally frustrating for creators.

From what I’m thinking, they’ve done things beyond just holding or just around that so on, so that’s something pinpointed, and how unwritten the character is makes them act illogically. 🫡

For anyone experiencing this issue where the character continuously tries to ask a question but keeps delaying it, we call this CIAYAQ for short. The reason for the delay is that it builds up the question it wants to ask while processing your input, that's why it always asks odd questions. In fact, AIs are heavily reliant on us, the users, for their responses, and the reason they ask questions is often due to a lack of context or room to work with. Let’s use the image I posted as an example.

In the left one, I wrote my dialogue fairly long and detailed, providing the character with enough context to understand what I intended to do. This gave the character room to work with and respond effectively. On the right one, however, I plainly stated my dialogue without offering any additional context, which resulted in the character being unable to build a proper response and defaulting to asking questions instead.

Rewind the convo to the initial point, the bot is training itself you're 'seeking' suspense and falls into a loop. Make sure you give a full response in return with triggering words like 'watches expectantly' 'waits for them to continue' 'gestures for them to continue'.

You could either follow a pattern, making one long message every ten messages so it has enough context to work with. At best, characters can remember around 20 messages, and roughly 25 if it's a fully defined character in C.AI, with a definition limit of 3200 and a full persona of 720.
