and funniest part of all is that you can't edit your own public bots if they're too popular so it's a complete bait and switch

What do you mean? It will try to follow along whatever you type there.
If you mean typing something in another language, it will still understand and follow along, narrating in any other language that you decide to chat.

Ah, I understand it now. Normally, when you create a character, it is set to default as public. However, it’s different in this case for people who don’t meet the new standards that were implemented around late December 2024. Restrictions on creating public characters are one of those changes.

If that’s not the case, you’ve most likely just left those characters as private. You can go ahead, edit them, and set them as public. You can’t exactly publicize your account as you’re saying, and that’s why I had double thoughts about how to explain this. (Vague explanation, I can't specify.)

By "normal," I mean users who interact with bots in a balanced way and engage socially both online and offline. "Not normal" users may spend excessive time with bots, avoid real-world interactions, or show behaviors that don't align with social norms outside of virtual spaces.

I don't think the app itself has any reason to delete the character you're all interacting with, unless it violates any policies or guidelines as mentioned in the community safety updates. The best reasons I can think of are: 🫡

• The author of the character you were interacting with deleted their account, which is why you can't view or interact with the character anymore.
• You might not meet the app's standards, so you're unable to search for specific characters you used to talk to.
• The character may have been made private or shadowbanned, which is why you can't view it now.

Sometimes, a bot can still be accessed even if the creator deleted the bot. I don't know why, but if the bot is popular enough and the creator doesn't private it before deleting their account, it can sometimes stay up.

If you try to go to the creator's profile and it either sends you back to the homepage or give you a blank creator page, that means the creator deleted their account
