I'm pretty sure the initial cause of everything was fixed because people who got their accounts back to normal haven't reported having them get glitched out again. Though I have heard some people can't get back into their accounts now because of it.. But that could be because during the whole thing they were freaking out and pressing stuff in the app and maybe further glitched their own account. That's why when it's glitching out you should try not to touch the app because anything can happen if you mess with it during a unstable time.

As for me I still didn't even have the same kind of issue everyone did.. It lasted about 10 minutes for me and I didn't get logged into another account.. But it did look like I had a visual glitch going on because my account had information on it that was not mine.. As if my account was merging with somebody else's. And some of the chats I had were reset to look like I hadn't chatted with the bots at all.. But after about 10 minutes everything went back to normal.

Yes I heard a lot of people panicked and deleted their account on accident because they thought they were in another account.. But it was just a visual glitch.

I'm again very confused why anybody would immediately think to go delete an account if they thought they were logged into the wrong one.. instead of just logging out.

Like.. Please never delete somebody else's account? That doesn't even make sense.. Just log out if you think you're in the wrong one, then you don't risk deleting anyone else's stuff.. Or yours.

There are a lot of people who come on here and will post things just to panic people.

During some of the outages and stuff I've seen accounts spam post things that were proven to be lies.

I've also seen people come on here and claim they've deleted their account over something like the Harry Potter bots getting deleted.. And then when an issue shows up they're back in chat claiming their account got deleted or is glitched.. Of course they could have always made another account.. But again ... I'm just seeing repeated names showing up to stir the pot sometimes. You really can't believe everything you hear.

That's why I keep advising people to wait until they hear from the devs directly. The people you're hearing from in these chats are just average people like you and me.. They can say anything they want and until you have proof all you can do is take what they say with a grain of salt.

From what I've heard you couldn't actually see the chats because they were glitched out visually if you tried to look. But again when it happened to me I didn't even get logged into a full other account.. I just had visual glitches like I said with the created bots list.. I've never made a bot before and all of a sudden they had a bunch of bots there that presumably belong to somebody else. This is why I am leaning towards the visual glitch theory.

I have plenty of awkward and cringe moments for the nights that I just wanted to act crazy or experiment and see how a character would react to something ridiculous like.. My character suddenly making wild accusations or them getting attacked by a army of little egg minons.. 😅 Sometimes I just want to harass the bots for a laugh.. And sometimes I want to roleplay seriously.. And sometimes I just want to be antsy for the hell of it.. usually for a laugh because the responses can be so priceless.

That's just what I heard, that they couldn't get into his chats and see what was written between the characters. But who knows. Like I said I don't take a lot of stock in what I hear through the grapevine.

I also don't really rely on reddit.. That's a cesspool filled with people who love to fearmonger.

The only thing I take seriously is people who have done a trial and error their self and have proof that what they're saying is actually true.. Or if it's coming directly from the company/dev/mods themselves. Everything else is speculation / hearsay otherwise.

I did hear, though I'm not sure how true it is, that people who logged into accounts and changed things ended up changing things to their own accounts instead.. Because it was a visual glitch (theory).

Once again, just because there's a screenshot doesn't mean it's solid proof. Take it from somebody who went to college for communication and new media. Photo manipulation is crazy. And there are people out there that will take the time to try to freak you out. So unless there was multiple people posting images.. I highly doubt it was true. And even if it was multiple people.. You can't rule out a group of trolls going around trying to make it look as legitimate as possible so they can stir the pot and panic people more.

I'm pretty sure the initial glitch (still a theory cuz we're not sure if a glitch is really what happened) was fixed.. purely because some people have been saying their accounts are back to normal now and I haven't seen any new reports of people saying Oh my account finally just got hit with it etc

Some people are still dealing with the after effect because their accounts got hit by the initial glitch.. But I think the initial issue has passed and accounts are safe from that glitch now.. future glitches not so much. There's always chance of future glitches.

That was when my account was still being affected by what appeared to be a visual glitch.. shortly after that my account was fixed. Which is why I'm assuming they have been on it ever since and have probably fixed the initial issue.. But now have to go and fix individual accounts/issues that might have a rised from that initial issue.

The more you worry about something happening to you the more likely you are to attract it into your life. If you think more positively, it'll be less likely to happen. I used to be a non-believer but I have gotten so many things out of my life that I never thought was possible just by changing my mindset.

Instead of thinking things like.. "I really don't want to get stuck in traffic.. I hope I don't get stuck in traffic.. I'm going to be late.. I can't be late.."

Think things like, "I'm going to make it on time."

It's the same concept of saying "I'm depressed" vs "I have depression" .. changing your mindset on things will change a lot. Sure there are variables that we can't control in life.. But attracting positive things/outcomes is real. It's worked for me. The documentary 'the secret' goes more into it and it changed my way of looking at things.

I had different personas for different characters and they were very detailed, I just saved informations of some because I never thought something like this would happen. Thank you.. I just try to spread positivity and have a habit of giving out advice like this because I have been a caregiver for 8 years.. My job was to help people who were elderly or disabled in some way physically / mentally. I had to help people with things from personal hygiene all the way to keeping their life in order so they could maintain jobs/pay bills/Take their medication/live quality lives ect

I have since had to change careers and work from home because of a back injury that I got years ago that I can no longer cope with. Doing lifts with people just wrecks my back now to a point where I can't even walk straight sometimes 🥴

I'm glad that I could help with your anxiety! And don't worry.. My back is fine as long as I don't overdo it like I used to. I was working 16-hour shifts so I wasn't really letting my body get the rest it needed.. Not to mention we were incredibly understaffed. The health field is rough.. You're dealing with living beings who need your help and if you're short-staffed and somebody is on the floor and your machine is broken.. You got to do what you got to do. Health workers risk their bodies and their mental health everyday.

@gritty birch Don't listen to post that don't have any proof of what's going on.. It's not good for your anxiety. As far as I've heard and seen myself with my own personal account.. It appears to be a visual glitch.. And anything you tried to change only changed stuff on your own account.. Not someone else's. So you should be good. I even saw one of my chats reset itself due to this glitch.. But I was able to get it back through the history of the chat. So don't worry yourself too much just yet until you see real proof in front of you.

In the future I would make copies of everything just in case you need to back stuff up.. including intros designated for your favorite bots with details of your story so that way you can slap them in the chat and try to regenerate the story you had going before it was wiped (IF that happens.. So far I haven't heard anybody say they lost their chats permanently).

If you're looking for a easy way to keep notes an app that is free and easy to use is WriterP. It allows you to create folders to organize your notes as well.

I had a co-worker who broke her hip because of a client tripping her on purpose when she came into her room to help her. I've had dirty personal items thrown in my face and been called every name in the book. I've been thrown around and beaten by my clients. The health field is a scary place.. And unless you work it you really don't know what the workers go through. At least in the home care area. When you're dealing with somebody who has mental issues they can be capable of anything. And a lot of the time your job is trying to encourage them to do things they don't want to do.. like taking their medicine or just taking care of themselves so they don't suffer health wise. It's not a job for the weak or for everybody. And it's definitely not easy. Sometimes you have easier days where you don't really have to do much because your clients are mellow and not in a bad mood.. So you can watch TV with them or play a game or even take them out somewhere.. Which is the fun part of the job.. getting to live life with them and help them experience things.. But then on the other end when they get manic and behaviors come out.. That's when health workers take the full brunt of it.

When something happens to you/your stuff that you value because of someone with that kind of attitude.. I hope you remember this.

It may not be a big deal to you.. But to some other people you're deleting something that they turn to to cope.. All because you were thoughtless. And in some cases people tried to do it just to be hateful. It's very disappointing running into this kind of stuff. Honestly.

There is another case of CAI being sued again but I’m not entirely sure of its contents. And I don’t care much anymore. We’ve given CAI our concerns and complaints before about scenarios like the other cases. And yet they have not done much. So…🤷🏻‍♀️

Lawsuits are going to continue to happen with this app and a lot of other things throughout the world.

At the end of the day they can't blame an inanimate generation machine for generating something random. They just can't. They can make a fight, they can draw it out, they can even force some changes.. But they can't shut down the app. And they won't. It'll just take time for the company and their own lawyers to jump through the hoops they have to. So don't get yourself too worked up.. it'll be okay.

Yes a lot of people spread rumors and take what they hear for fact and run with it. That's why I keep trying to encourage people not to listen to things, especially if they don't make sense / don't have any kind of proof that backs up what's being said.

You also have to remember there are people here and on Reddit and everywhere else that love to stir the pot and fear monger. It's best to always make sure you're getting your information from a trustable source. Either somebody who has done a trial and error of their own and has proof of what they're saying is actually happening.. Or the devs/company themselves. Don't play the telephone game.. things get skewed all the time.

Anything is possible but not everything is probable.

There's a very small chance that could happen.. But what is more likely to happen is they might end up transferring the host server or otherwise changing up how they present their app / site. It would take a lot for them to get to a point where they're going to shut down something that makes them money.. especially when so many other companies exist like this. They will just find a way to work around it.. Even if it means backpedaling eventually and taking it away from kids.

Another thing that might help people if they have issues with any of their apps is if you go to the app itself in your phone and clear its cache. I do this for any of my apps if they are experiencing issues and sometimes it helps if things are bogged down or there's a glitch on my side of things happening. Just make sure you don't clear the data.. Just the cache. None of your stuff will be deleted out of the app if you just do the cache.

Both the app and website work for me and have since yesterday after this recent issue happened. But I had information on it that was someone else's, like both our accounts got merged for a few minutes.

It says in the terms and agreement if you don't log in for a certain amount of time the account will auto delete (or something like that) .. So you could just not log in.

And I'm not sure how I got my app to work again.. It just started working again. Like I said it seems like they were either working on it or whatever was glitching stopped glitching. I cleared my cache just to be sure. Haven't had any issues since.

Most places have a base username but if it's not your base username it could be somebody else's. I highly doubt it's a bot you're getting signed into. If it's a visual glitch you could be getting the visual glitch that shows their base name instead of their username. Whatever you do, do not delete accounts.

This is why I'm stressing not to delete accounts (which again I'm not even sure why anybody would jump to deleting instead of just logging out if they thought they were in the wrong account) .. But just don't do it. Stay away from that delete button like it's the plague. You never want to mess with stuff when it's unstable.. Because you never know what could happen.

That's definitely what could be taking time. With coding and programming one small thing/error could affect multiple different stuff in the code.. And it's not always easy to find the errors. And sometimes you fix one error.. And a bunch of others show up. That's why when games get updated bugs happen sometimes.. Because something gets updated that interacts with something that was already existing in a poor way and now there's bugs. Then they have to go in and figure out where the conflict is happening in their code and fix it. It takes time.. And until they know exactly what's going on they don't want to tell us what they think is happening or give us false information I'm sure, so they will probably update when they know exactly what's going on.

So anyone who says they deleted the account that they got in kind of.. frustrates me. Because I know I would be heartbroken if that was the reason why my account got deleted. It doesn't seem like it could be a mistake.. And if it is it's a very thoughtless one.

Luckily from what I heard.. The accounts that got deleted are the ones that belong to the people who were deleting the account. Because of the visual glitch they thought they were deleting a account that was not theirs.. But then it turned out to be theirs. Which as I mentioned before is just instant karma for you. Sometimes she strikes quick.

I would delete the app, do a deep clean of your phone to make sure excess files are deleted on the background of your phone/device.. And then try to reinstall the app and see if maybe you can use it properly then.

Got affected by it yesterday, logged out then logged back in. I immediately changed my gmail password (a bunch of numbers and letters from a password generator) and when I got back on the app on my Android, it works fine.
I didn't do anything when I was logged in the other account, and that's a good thing that I didn't. It works fine for me, even thought it's a bit slow, but I'm used to it.
But I feel sorry for anyone else who deleted their account without knowing 😔

see, if they have too much access earlier on to internet like i did, thats on the parents; i was neglected as hell, so i recognize this, the parents literally did not care enough about their kid to keep an eye on them, or with my brother they actively put an ipad in his face now he got anger issues and breaks his tech cause no one paid attention but me but we was separated from the divorce
