I had a long going story where I was a vigilante for a good while in one of my chats and had just gotten married and gotten back from our honeymoon to continue our work in the city together 😔🥺 Now I'm sitting here terrified that every other chat I have in that universe is going to get deleted out of nowhere. It's ridiculous. They are creating an environment that is unstable and creating anxiety for their users. It's like we don't even matter. I just don't feel like we are being fought for it all. They're just letting everyone else win :/

The fact that I can't continue my story or go back to something that I was thoroughly enjoying is upsetting. It's like somebody took a book I was reading and just set it on fire before my eyes.

I use an app called WriteP to keep notes for work and for role-playing. You can create folders and organize in there. So I have a section for all of my RPs with folders from different universes with different intros saved, different interaction inputs saved etc .. all so I can try out the same intros with different bots (to see which bot has the best kind of response that I want/writing pattern) .. and just in case things get deleted and I need to try to replica a interaction again 🙃

I make my plot and everything for every bot that I interact with, I usually ignore the intro that is set in place. It works because they'll just go with what you suggest. I do that when I can't find a bot in a universe that I want to talk to as well.. I'll just find another character from the same show and then I'll walk away from that character and go find the character I actually want to talk to.

There are two types of shadowbans. Hard ban and soft ban. Some soft bans can still be accessed by link and what have you. Hard bans only the creator can see them.

Soft bans are fixable :7 BTW. Typically you'd just have to see if likes show up on the bot, verily, if you want to see as well, you log out of your account and look at your profile from an outsiders view. If if shows up on your profile, it's good. If it doesn't and you made it public, that's a shadowban.

And if somehow even a creator cannot see their own bot, private or otherwise, I'm guessing that means c.ai themselves removed it.

my edit button is still gone, i only got the verification popup twice and they were both during maintenance, so i assume there was a glitch??

both times it was over 18 so i don’t understand

any tips on how to get the popup again? i’ve tried logging out and redownloading the app, should i go on browser??

yeah, maybe. some other people still haven’t been able to log in either, at all, so, i think the influx of users making new accs/complaining has probably caused more issues than solutions.

i’d say maybe try contacting support, or open a ticket (if possible)?

again, a lot of others have been having this issue, too, so i don’t really know if it’s just an issue or something else

i made a new acc and got my edit button back, if it comes to it, maybe test with a brand new account and see if it works, and if so; it might be something with that specific gmail

but i’d suggest keeping your old acc info too!!

if you can access the website and have a link to your bot and can get to the page where it says the chat is unavailable you may be able to use cai tools to export your chats i was able to recover all my chats by doing that on chrome

i haven't tried with public bots bc I've only used my own bots but I feel like it should if you can find the link through your internet history its worth a shot

i added the extension then i went to the page where it said the bot was unavailable then on the toolbar for cai tools under history clicked 'start fetch' then click on 'offline history' after it was finished fetching and it downloads a webpage that you open and the chats will be there and you can save it as pdf
