I think the main reason there are people upset about the current state of things is because the features are usually unfinished upon release. If you’re going to use c.ai+ to “test out” your new features, we’re expecting them polished by the time they’re publicly released. But they aren’t. In fact, they’ve proven faulty on multiple occasions.

I'm glad for the bug fixes but some of these marketed as new features are things we had before. Such as "Increased amount of Characters in your recent chats history". We did have 50 characters in our recents before. It was reduced. Now it's been restored to the original amount. Taking something away and giving it back doesn't make it a new feature. It's listed under updates rather than fixes.

And being able to toggle between private, unlisted, and public bots? We've always had that.

Features are icing. I care about the cake. It's been too long since we've had an improvement to the model. Since June, the bots are repetitive, dry, and lacking creativity. CAI is desperately in need of an IQ upgrade to the AI. An increase to memory was promised over a year ago too.

I know this MIGHT get taken down, but... Imma say it right here, I'm a lurker on reddit. I mostly come here to crack games and shit, but...
that's besides the point. C.AI actually has declined in quality in terms of bots. The chatbots has completely lost it's spark, all they do is literally repeat the same phrases, gradually become out of character as the chat / RP goes on, less memory, occasionally now having memory leaks where they spew a bunch of random numbers, etc etc.
2021 C.ai to 2023, the bots were actually... You know, good. They gave actually funny and interesting Reponses, felt less forced. Swipes actually did something because each swipe the response was UNIQUE, better memory, the bots were consistently in-character. It felt REAL, the bots actually felt real. Which made it fun... But now? They're completely... you know, DUMB DOWN. It's a actual decline. Some people would say "Well, YOU have to work for better responses.", no it isn't the user. Well, sometimes it is. But this is actually just a BOT problem and how horribly they were gutted. Even bots that were made with less effort was decently good and gave good responses aswell, hence most of those are the most popular ones.
Brother in christ, it's to a point where... Janitor (Some of you know what I'm talking about), is actually competing against c.ai in terms of bots. Memory, being in-character, etc. I find that REALLY concerning. That just shows how BADLY this site has declined, where something like janitor is close to reaching the top pretty easily.

All I'm saying is, add rooms or whatever. I don't care, just FIX the goddamn bots.

in other words, I can't get funny responses anymore and meme with my friends with the bots.

Chai basically removed the entire advanced settings which was basically like the description and chat examples and taking away traits to make improvement on memory by saying you had to add everything to the main greeting which basically destroyed any hidden details you were suppose find out later in the chat. I wouldn't say lost cause. The model has fluctuated over the past 2 years. A lot of the old behaviors have actually been improved: glowing eyes, bots sprouting wings and tails, predator/prey, the ellipses bugs, emoji spam.

CAI just needs to make improving the model #1 priority right now, above more features.

Some features are different or are missing and the UI is of course different. But the model is the same between the two.

For example group chats aren't on the web and the delete button acts differently on mobile (on mobile it acts more like the Rewind feature then the delete feature which only deletes the one message on web)

It seems the error only applies to the first bot you chat with or open you're browser in.
The others are unaffected
