I’m still having these issues by the way… Both with bots I’ve created and others. It’s incredibly frustrating.

I’ve “solved it” by unpinning some comments but it’s like the bot still has a hard time readjusting and it goes from a nice role play to them just writing a single sentence.

I can also “solve” it by pinning my latest comment, which makes the bot read it, but it’s the same issue: It ONLY reads the pinned comments, which makes the conversation incredibly odd and weird and ruins the experience.

though, it kind of depends on what bot you are using

if you made your own bot that takes in the year you want, you should probably put in the key details, but if you are using a bot that isnt made for that, Its just going to acknowledge your sentence about the year being 1975 but it wont care much during the roleplay

Yo.... So uh... The log in hasn't been fixed yet. So the issue now is that.... Whenever you log in, there is a verification where the website wants to make sure your human or not... And then when you check mark the cloudfare or... Whatever it is.....it doesn't take you to the option what account you want to log in with.... It just take you back to the loading screen of the app instead.... And stuck there.... And when you try to reinstall it.... It doesn't work.

I really don't understand why put a legacy log in thing if they'll remove it in the future. Tbh, for us, a users who's profoundly using their app/site, that legacy helps us a lot if we have no choice, or rather, don't want to use our google account for linking our c.ai through it. Discord, gmail, facebook, or Username with password, that'll surely facilitate to protect our privacy, personal information regarding to it. Besides, some of us are using our personal name through gmail, and other way how to access our account in c.ai, that's why we accommodate using those, instead of forfeiting our privacy in that app/site.

So does anyone have uploading character avatar issue? Just can't do it from my phone or PC, in any browser. There are 3 files, one has my username, my email and the date I created my account, one has the info of the bots I created (I didn’t actually create any bots, I just remixed a bot once and that one showed up as if I created it), and the 3rd folder has my chatlogs in plain text with the chat id and “candidate id”. but they seem a bit out of order I think? And it’s like a wall of text so it’s hard to pick up the actual chats themselves bc the id’s are so long lmao. But I’m glad I finally got the data. They said they deleted it (i requested it) and I hope they actually did because they sent the “your data has been deleted” email BEFORE the “here’s your data export” email 😭

• Navigate to Settings > Linked Accounts ~ https://old.character.ai/profile?settings=true&tab=linkedaccount~
• Enter your new email address
• Click the link in the email it was sent to (Check your spam folder)
• Re–enter your email address again to confirm it
• You will now be able to log in with that email address via Google, Apple or emailed login link.
