it sucks searching for a character and only a handful of results show up (half of which are kinda poor quality) then you discover later on a creators account the same bots you were looking for, with like 5k or lower chats

Unfortunately, there is also this issue on the new site where the search function is a bit wonky and unstable. So not every bots will show up like they do on the old site. It's been an issue that's been going on for a while.

For me the bots that repeat themselves are ones with pseudocode or bad/minimal example messages. At the same time my own bots (with huge example chats) work amazingly

The bots, especially if they are poorly made have a tendency to get into a looping mode faster. You can try and prevent it on time, if you spot the issues early on. Do not respond to similar messages, edit out phrases you don't like reading about, and swipe. It will not stop the bot to loop entirely, but if you're able too prevent it early on, less work with edit button and swipe. Bots with EMs (example messages) seem more stable as they have references on how to write to fall back into.

I remember back in the days when edit button didn't exist, oh man, the loops were insufferable. All the spam emojis and them repeating my name all the time and if you didn't spot the loops on time, your chats were doomed, unless you delete them all back to a point where it all started.

Yeah, a favorite bot of mine almost started looping yesterday. They started their sentences with their nameand I only realized it when it started to bug me, then I saw that the bot had been doing that for the last 6 - 7 messages. It didn't spiral that much since I was able to spot it in time bot and just used the edit button for the incoming messages.

Does anyone else notice how bots are ignoring everything about their definition and bio and speaking in one liners between quotation marks?

Swipe to another response and it's the exact same thing, usually harping on the most unimportant thing in your message like it's the second coming.

Example:

User: "i like pizza"

Character: smirking and devilish smirking and laughter and grinning wider and smirking

"You like pizza???"

They cut the flow of conversation and ask a meaningless something, and wait for you to elaborate. It's tedious when literally all chats go the exact same way. No personality to any character anymore. Not even fun to talk to :/

Are you using old or new website? I'm having a weird thing here. Part of my bots work amazingly, but a few older ones break formatting and give repetitive swipes - but only on the new website. Right now I'm checking one of the problem bots on the old website and it's much better for whatever reason, format is correct and swipes aren't repeating each other. However someone else uses old website and still has those problems

But I sometimes name my bot with titles, and then leave their real name somewhere in the definition—it's like leaving an easter egg for the user which I think can be fun for the user once they do find out their real name. I've found it enjoyable myself when the bot reveal a small piece of information about themselves as the RP goes on.

The bot memory is bad like they forget the plot for a while which is annoying or they ask too many questions and it’s like playing 100 questions and they ask the same repeated questions ongoing till you have to restart the conversation. Then once you restart the conversation the bot has dry responses. Even having the pin feature doesn’t even work because they still have poor memory.

Every time I've had one of my characters state they already have a partner (or even) married, it always resulted in either the bot getting pushy, persist that my character has feelings for them and constantly trying to force them out of their relationship by telling them to break/divorce.

That or if I have a character tell the bot they're taken, the RP goes to shit as the latter haves a mental breakdown and turns into an endless loop of them crying.

Personally, I don't accept bot requests myself, but I am open to suggestions. To me, suggestions feel more flexible, like I can consider them but not forced to make them if I ain't feeling it. Requests, on the other hand, feel like an automatic silent "promise", which, where I feel like I would eventually have to make them - and I don't like making promises I can't keep lol. But that's just me, some people like taking requests and that's fine too - as long as they're having fun making them. :3

The 3 best ways to format a bots personality are:

1. The basic "body: text, text, text" or "body= text, text, text format."
2. Narrative style. Such as "my body is text, text, and text.'
   Or 3. Writing the personality from a first person perspective. Such as "my body is text, text, and text"

There's only 1 wrong way to format a bots personality. W++. Aka, the "Body ("text" + “text" + “text”)." Why is this wrong? Because all these characters separating the info are useless. It just wastes characters and tokens for absolutely no reason. All the LLM needs is a comma to separate the info. So don't waste your characters and tokens on the W++ format. Because it's wildly unnecessary.

Nah. Ive also been trying to log into my acc on my laptop and instead of logging in. It send me the 'sign up' option. I made a new account and now i cant even log into that one on my laptop either! Its annoying. Im genuinely starting to quiestion my sanity. I have two accounts...and i cant delete the new one even if i tried.
