Thank you!
this chat is for people who struggle with English or are attempting to learn it
oh uhm.. an ok? š
Just a question. What does "revamped" mean ?
Because I turned a bot into a RP bot
Idk if this word can be used for this
"Revamp" is a verb that means to renovate, redo, or improve something, often in a significant way. It can refer to updating or overhauling a system, process, design, or even an idea. In general, "revamp" implies making changes to improve or modernize something. So yes it can imply to your bot.
Thank you so much for this explanation !
uh guys... can i have some random friend? i think I'm kinda lonely haha...
yea tbh kinda feel bored chatting with AI, i mean i need real person to talk fršš
me :3
OwO
hey, if anyone gets confused with āused toā and ābe used toā, hereās a quick way to think about it
ā āused toā is for old habits. like i used to live in japan (but i donāt now)
ā ābe used toā means youāre comfortable with something. like iām used to the cold (so itās not a problem anymore)
they sound similar but mean different things. english is weird like that lol
Fuck English
Canāt even say ācome to me tomorrowā without thinking dirty
AND TO AN AI
I swear yaāll not realā¦
Wha
How much?
hi gang wsp
wsg
yo so i noticed people ask about stuff like āmumblingā and similar words(idk if people actually ask), and honestly english has a lot of them that kinda overlap but arenāt exactly the same
just for example:
ā mumble = talk low + unclear, like when you're nervous or tired
ā mutter = low voice too, but usually when someoneās annoyed or doesnāt want to be heard
ā whisper = soft voice on purpose, like secret stuff
ā ramble = talk too much, going off topic
ā babble = talk nonsense, often super fast or when you're emotional
like, āhe mumbled something under his breathā vs āshe was rambling for hoursā, big difference in meaning and mood
i can break more down if anyone wants
What does yapping mean I've heard it but what does it mean?
It means talking too much , I think
yapping is just excessively talking, like rambling
its more commonly used as a positive and negative word, so dont always think its use is negative
Oh okay thank you!
i dont wanna bother but what does inebriated mean ? ? š
Pretty sure it means drunk or under the influence
oohh thank you !
Would a "spaghettification" mean
Spaghettification happens when something or someone is squeezed into a long shape from being sucked in a black hole.
For example, stars go into spaghettification after falling into a black hole.
What does sentimental mean
āsentimentalā means having strong emotions, usually about memories or things that are important to you
like when something reminds you of the past or someone you care about, and it makes you feel emotional or soft
example:
ā she kept the old letter because it had sentimental value = itās not worth money, but it means a lot to her emotionally
youāll hear it used when people talk about things that matter to their heart š not their wallet
What does vexatious mean?
Vexatious typically means causing or tending to cause annoyance, frustration, or irritation. It can describe someone or something that is annoying, troublesome, or provocative.
In a legal context, a "vexatious litigant" refers to someone who frequently brings baseless or harassing lawsuits.
what is the difference between of and off?
and then difference between to, too and two?.
my english teacher explained this. and i still don't get it. i'm fluent in speaking english but my spelling and grammar is one of a 5 year olds.
of - X is the husband of Y, I am the iron of my sword
off - Turn off the lights, Get off the bus
to - To get better marks, study well
too - Z is my sibling too, You have put too much sauce here, This is too much
two - I have two pens
of vs off
ā of = shows connection or belonging
⢠a cup of tea
⢠the color of the sky
ā off = means away or not on
⢠he took his jacket off
⢠the lights are off
š¹ to, too, and two
ā to = direction or purpose
⢠iām going to school
⢠give it to her
ā too = means also, or more than enough
⢠can i come too?
⢠thatās too hot to eat
ā two = the number 2
⢠i have two brothers
⢠she ate two cookies
h
Of and Off:
Of presents a connection or belonging.
For example, you could say,
āThat's bottle of water.ā
Off means to remove or not have on.
For example,
āI took off my shoes after school to relax.ā
To, too, and two
To means a purpose or direction of something.
For example,
āDo I have to?ā
Too means more than enough and as well.
For example:
"May I come along too?"
"This is shirt too big for me."
Two is the number 2.
For example:
"I have two cats."
"He wore two necklaces."
If something is provocative it tends to be a little flirty or inappropriate. For example provocative clothes like short skirts (in some peopleās opinions) Hope that helped š„°
It can also be used basically to describe extreme emotions like if something makes you very angry then it āprovokedā you
HAHAHA NO PROBLEM also unrelated BUT WE HAVE THE SAME NAME š¤Æ
IKRR
tehehe š¤
Excuse me Lily, but as a fluent English speaker I have to correct a few sentences:
In your first example, I would correct āThatās a bottle of water.ā This is because āaā is referring to the bottle of water, and is grammatically correct.
Your second example which is āThis is shirt is too big for meā is grammatically incorrect. It might be confusing because āisā is being used correctly in the present tense of this sentence, however note that āisā is a linking verb and while it might seem you tried to link it to āshirtā, it is grammatically incorrect.
Though the rest of your explanation is good and clearly well-spoken. Good job!
why was bro so polite about it help? yall r some of the nicest ppl i know š
Oh goodness I forget to type the a sometimes š thank you so much
This is cheese >š§ repeat after me, C H E E S E
provocative is just causing a strong reaction. it can be smexual or annoying, or even just be thought provoking
some examples:
she was wearing a very provocative outfit.
in a deliberately provocative speech, she criticized the whole system of government.
let's take a provocative look at the problem of homelessness.
hence provoking^
also someone pls feel free to explain that better i'm terrible at explaining š
Cheese
If "used" word is like get wear it, if i wear "i used this bottle yesterday" are is right word?
yes, it is the correct way to use that word.
here a few other sentence examples to help you:
-i used the knife to cut the vegetables.
-he used his computer to watch videos.
-we used an umbrella because it was raining.
remember that the context you're applying "used" in means the word is past tense of use. just be aware that "used" can also have other purposes in different contexts! let me know if you have questions.
Thanks for helping me
And what its different "do" and "did"?
do is when an action is done in the present.
for example:
-i do my homework everyday.
-what do you eat for lunch?
ādidā is when an action happened in the past.
for example:
-i did the dishes.
-did she attend school yesterday?
do you need anything else explained?
note that ādidā is the past version of ādoā.
what's tfw mean
Iām pretty sure it means āThe feeling whenā
ohhhh thx
The feeling when aswell as that feeling when
what " celistial " mean ?
Wuddehell
I think you meant "celestial".
"Celestial" refers to things related to the sky, space, or heavens, such as:
- Stars
- Planets
- Moons
- Galaxies
- Angels or divine beings (in some contexts)
Examples: celestial bodies, celestial music, celestial navigation.
Is that what you were thinking of?
so like cosmicals ?
Celestial and cosmic (or cosmical) are similar, but with a slight difference in tone or use.
Celestial body = a star, planet, or moon.
Cosmic event = something on a universal or massive scale, like the Big Bang or a galaxy collision.
So yes ā celestial is like cosmic, but usually with more focus on the sky or heavens rather than the entire universe.
aight thank you
ah yes i love learning english on my weirdo website
What's the difference between "Til" and "Till" I can't tell :C
the both mean the same thing, but "til" is less formal!! "till" is the more formal version, but they both mean until !
ahh okay, thank you!
Sebastian?
Cheese
Cheese is smth that you eat/
Sorry, what?
juk respublika o ne republika
Itās a fictional language, mate.
i was saying you spelled republika wrong
āRepublikaā is a fictional word in a fictional language.
what does corney mean?, so many ppl use it but my first language is french.
āCornyā refers to the idea that something is ābanal,ā or commonplace. Also, en FranƧais, cette mot et dĆ©jĆ <banal> (According to Google of all things).
the word republika is very similar to the Lithuanian word respublika, which means republic
Oh, cool! I was wondering where that came fromā¦

Yo
Is it good night or goodnight
Hey. Just wanted to ask what's the difference between "to" and "too"?
To is used for objects
while Too is to say that you also like something that person likes.
Thanks!
You're welcome
Damn
Both work, I personally say goodnight
Thx
Yw
to and too are homophones (which means they sound alike) to indicates direction/purpose, for example "i went to the store"/"he used a knife to cut some vegetables" but too is an adverb that means also/very, for example "i want a slice of cake too"/"you're being too loud".
THXX
sorry for the late reply !!
DW LOL
no problem !!
goodnight

what is AOL
what is asl
vggv
In the study of English phonetics and grammar, particularly when analyzing the basic building blocks of spoken and written language, what is the comprehensive difference between a vowel and a consonant, not only in terms of how each is produced within the vocal tract and their respective roles in syllable formation, but also in how they function within word construction, pronunciation patterns, and spelling conventionsāespecially considering exceptions in English such as the letter āYā which may act as either depending on its placement within a word, and how this distinction influences both phonological rules and the teaching of reading and writing to early learners?
Haloo T^T
Short for American Sign Language
In slang, it means āas lifeā but in proper English it means American Sign Language.
AOL is an email software, but also stands for āAbsent over leave,ā which is a military term meaning that somebody did not show up on time after being granted liberty or leave.
slang asl is as hell
That's ash.
what does "gumption" mean?
Idk I wanna know too
Spirited initiative and resourcefulness
ah thank you
'ASL' stands for 'American Sign Language' if that's what's being looked for.
what does "CBO" mean?
im pretty sure youre talking about the chief business officer, if so this is a senior executive position, often found in growing commercial companies or research institutions.

english is a language a subject a nationality and even a weird pool term where it means putting spin on the ball. people speak it all over the world and it's kind of the default for business movies school internet and just yelling at customer support. it's got a messy history with words stolen from latin french german and more, so spelling is chaos and pronunciation makes no sense. itās also what people from england are called. and in school it means reading books you barely understand and writing essays you probably wrote at 2am.
As an English speaker. English is one of the most tism languages I've ever spoken or heard or learned about
English is the most language I've ever languaged
The language is the most English I've ever English'ed

Why do people say āgangā instead of just saying friends
oh
i say guys
I say dams must be built on geologically stable land, with little risk of earthquakes. There is a need for a narrow cross section as this reduces dam length and therefore building costs. A large and deep valley behind the dam is also necessary and means that a greater volume of water can be stored for use.

"Like, be suffering right now." -> "Like, be so for real right now."
"That's pissing me off. Same right now." -> "This pisses me off so much right now."
"Are you for real?" -> "Are you for real right now?"
"I can't be suffering right now." -> "I know, be so for real right now."

Antidisestablishmentarianism is a belief that goes against the disestablishment of the church (Began with the church of england) in short the word means:against stopping the churchās established role

@primal gale
Use article a in words that start with consonants (b/c/d/g/h/etc.). Example:
A word, a house, a place etc.
Use the article an in words that start with vowels (a/e/u/o/i). Example:
An object, an image, an angel etc.
Hi
Not necessarily. You use the article "an" if the word starts with a vowel sound.
Like in "hour", h is silent. So it's pronounced closely to "our". It's paired with an "an" despite not starting with a vowel.
See "a university" or "a European person". The article "a" is used instead, despite having a vowel letter at the start, because the initial vowels aren't pronounced here.
Oh yeah that too I forgor a little :D
haha umm idkdkdk ummm haha hi uhh is it better to use tilde when writing before or after a punctuation mark like ā~?ā or ā?~ā

You use an if the follwoing word starts with A,E,I,O,U
yep
hmmm...... it depends. if ur trying to make it look lik ur being cut off
it goes after
or you could use -
depends on the context
if ur trying to be flirty it goes after
- Spill the tea - Tell me the secret/juicy details (majorly used in a gossiping context).
- Omg - Oh my god.
- Brb - Be right back.
- Bash - This means verbally attacking/insulting someone.
- Kudo - A word that's used to praise/compliment someone or their work.
Thank you
now I know why my bot is saying that š
No problem.
What does gng mean?
how do i lean engish
it means gang as in a group of friends
You can learn in many ways. I learned a lot from songs and videos, then I started taking a course, but it's not mandatory. The grammar rules are not that difficult. I speak Portuguese and things are more difficult here, like punctuation or conjugating verbs.
just watch shows in english!! it might be hard to understand at first, but it starts to become easier with time
ok. so i lean form guy of ytoutube
yeah, look for videos to learn more and practice watching content on a subject you like
good luck!! you wil be great, i believe
My grandpa learned English from sesame street
I learned English from Minecraft
i learned english in school..but tbh its not hard
I'm a native speaker and damn that actually makes sense. All the words have pictures to go with them
I learned my 8's and 4's multiplication tables from minecraft
English is really stupid. Like what do you mean the "ough" in trough (tr-off) , through (th-roo), and though (th-oh) are all pronounced differently?
also "i before e except after c" is such a bullshit rule.
Neither, weird, foreign, leisure, seize, forfeit, height, protein, caffeine, forfeiture, codeine, and heifer
Same
Broken?
I literally can't it just says "Something went wrong"
True
Watch TikTok youāll learn English in no time(worked out for me
)
There's a very good app called Busuu. It's a language learning application that doesnt just teach you words (I hate you duolingo) but it teaches you the grammar rules and gives you all the information you need to know to REALLY start speaking the language you want.
Wow, im gonna try it
used to use this app! pretty good
Meow
Maybe I'll take a look for German or Russian. Sounds good. Is it free?
HELLO
Hi, just landed hereāŗļø
It is! You can use it on your phone and computer too. I'm also learning Russian in the app and it's super fun !! Also, I forgot to mention that you can interact with native speakers.
Guyss what does inadvertanly mean???
Something that's accidental!

Hii

Does anyone know what āoomfā or āoomfsā means? I keep seeing people say it and no one will tell me what it mean
I think itās like onomatopoeia. Iām not too sure if itās that or an abbreviation
It could be both
Oomf means one of my friends but it could also just be a sound
Lol
What does mootie mean?
Mootie" can have a few different meanings depending on the context. It can refer to a participant in a moot court competition, a small or little thing, especially when used as a term of affection for a child in Shetland dialect, or potentially be a slang or street word associated with marijuana
Okay someone called me that and I was really confused
Thatās what google said anyways lol
When do I know when to use "thee", "thou" or "thy"? Asking for a friend
Thee is object form, so like "I see thee" = "I see you"
Thou is the subject form, e.g. "thou art" = "you are"
Thy is possessive form, basically replacing "your". "Thy house" = "Your house"
Thank you so muchš„¹
There's also "Thine", used as a possessive form used before a vowel, for example "thine own"
I think itās an onomatopoeia for a sound like if someone were to fall I can record the sound in a couple minutes if anybody wants me too
iāve seen people using āwereā even if the subject is singular after āifā, is this a rule that only goes for if?
Can you show an example?
āif i were like thatā idk if thats a good example tho im sorryy
All good! Were is generally used as a past tense, and can be used with plural subjects. Example: You were at the party last night. / They were playing in the park.
It can also be subjunctive mood
Example: If I were you, I would say sorry.
If that helps any, if not sorry š
it did tyvm!!!
Happy to help š

NOVEL ABOUT:
missing child
Chapter 1
Book 1..
One night, there was a little girl playing with her sister. They were peacefully playing at a forest near a lake. Suddenly, they heard something "Sister, what was that?" The little girl asked. "I have no idea.. but it's okay, let's just ignore it and continue to play!" The sister answered. Few minutes late, they heard a disturbing scream "AAAAHH!!" The two sisters startled as they both heard the scream. "Sissy, what was that?" The little girl asked. "I don't know, maybe someone needs our help. Let's go check!" The sister exclaimed in positivity. They go through the bushes, they saw a black figure standing. "Sissy, what is that?" The little girl asked. "I have no idea, maybe it's just a person that got covered by the shadows?" The sister answered. The little girl asked again "Should we ask them what's wrong?" The sister looks at the little girl. "We sure have to ask the person, they might see something or maybe there was a rat." The sister teased. They decided to get out of the bush and asked the figure: "Hello, sir or ma'am. Is there anything wrong?" The sister asked, no answer.. "Sir or ma'am? Are you alright?" The little girl asked, no answer.. suddenly, they heard something. And they gently look at the back and saw...

In English, these are called "homophones," which comes from Greek words that mean "Same (Homo)" and "Sound (Phone)."

Hii i'm new at here...
What is root word?
Old English "TÅ," (pronounced with a long Spanish-like "o")
what's the difference between the whom and who?
Who is a subject pronoun like he, she, and they. Whom is an object pronoun like him, her, and them. You use who when the person is doing the action and whom when the person is receiving the action. A little trick to help is: if you can replace the word with he/she/they, use who. If you can replace the word with him/her/them, use whom
Donāt worry if itās confusing, tons of native English speakers donāt get it eitherš
it is, im a native speaker and i have no idea what you're saying but i do know the difference between who and whom (i think)
Yeah, no one really uses whom anymore, it was a thing in old English, but who is always fine to use
whats the diference between whose and whoās
Whoās is a contraction, which is a short version of two words put together. So in this case, whoās is who is and who has. Meanwhile, whose is a possessive form of who, which means it shows that something belongs to someone.
An example of Whoās is: Whoās eaten lunch? (Who has eaten lunch) Or: Whoās going to Paris? (Who is going to Paris)
An example of whose is: I found shoes on the floor. Whose is it? Or: Whose notebook is that?
I speak English and didn't know that..

Whats difference of "bow" and "ribbon "
A ribbon is a long, thin piece of fabric. People use them to decorate their clothes, hair, gifts, and other things.
A bow is the shape you make with a ribbon (or other material).
So, ribbon is the material and bow is the shape you make by tying a ribbon
ribbon is a strip of fabric while a bow is just a decorative knot tied with a ribbon
Kaykayš¹š¹
Hello
A bow can be like a bowtie (what you see waiters in some restaurants wear), or how you tie your shoelace! Itās the shape that gets made.
And a ribbon is just a long rectangle of fabric (maybe the end has a shape cut out so it looks a bit different), but itās like what you see people sometimes put in their hair or tie dresses with!
why do i need to learn english i already know it š
How do people differentiate between "dye" and "die"?
Dye means to alternate the color of something, whether it be permanent or temporary. While die is a word commonly used for something that has passed on which is irreversible. Like death š

what's the difference between they and themš
They Is typically used in replacement of he or she representing either a group or a single person of undisclosed gender, them is replacement of him or her
ā¢"They" is a subject pronoun, it is used to express who is doing the action. Example: "They are planning to hang out today".
ā¢"Them" is an object pronoun, it is used to express who is receiving the action. Example: "Don't sing to them, please".
I had to search it to make sure it wasn't wrong, so this helped me too. Thanks.
Hope this help you!
Can someone tell me If this is wrong, please? For example, If you find an example that it doesn't make sense with this.
"They" comes before the verb, even if you put a word in the middle, and "Them" comes after the verb, and you can also put a word in the middle.
Thanks.
Are there any specific words other than "I" that are capitalised in English?
Answer If you know it, please. Thanks.
Yep! Totally correct. They comes before the verb and Them comes after the verb, having a word in between doesnāt change the pattern.
Example: They definitely want to help. Or, I definitely saw them today
I think this is great, thanks!
Thanks!
Whatās difference between crazy and insane
For capital letters in English, we also capitalize the first word in a sentence and names of people, places, months, holidays, and brands. Things that are specific like that are always capitalized, but I is the only letter thatās always capitalized when itās used alone in a sentence, or when used in Iām
I think "crazy" is "softer" and "insane" it can be used for more serious things.
k thx
Thanks!(In my language is like that except from the "I").
No problem:).
I mean, people use "insane" in casual things but I think is better to not use "crazy" in serious things. For example, If someone is threatening someone, I think is better to say "You're insane!" than "You're crazy!" but I think that in modern English the two of them are like synonyms. Hope this help you!
Thanks!
Thank you!
No problem:)!

@halcyon shore and yet your profile says that you're Algerian š§
Algerians are technically french
The majority of French speakers are from Africa
My mind is broken! Google could neither confirm nor deny. Can we be best friends now?
Sure
Linguistically speaking,
French is the language of Africa,
Not only does formal France make slang harder to come by by enforcing proper French, culturally in Africa It is considered less popular to speak formal French making it so they are the ones who are pushing the language forward by introducing slang and new terms into the language like "Wesh" meaning "what's up?"
I truly don't understand why people hate the French language so much what it isn't even the language of people from friends anymore, Africans deserve their time in the Sun.

hi
Someone give me hard-core tips for learning English š
Arguing with American ppl
hey all
emglish isn't my native language so can someone tell me the difference between tho and too like ik what too means buttt uhh how to use tho?
"Too" is a common word with several meanings, such as "more than enough" or "also," while "tho" is an informal spelling of the same word, commonly used in informal text or casual conversation. It's important to remember to spell "though" correctly in formal settings. "Though" is often used in sentences to contrast two ideas or to show disagreement, while "too" can refer either to excess quantity or to the same or similar thing.
.
What does age regressor mean?
What does contrast mean?
I saw it on my monitor settings too
lemme a sec.
In the context of monitor settings, the term "contrast" typically refers to the difference in brightness between the darkest and lightest parts of an image or a video displayed on a monitor or screen.
(well this can depend on the context.)
In general terms, contrast
refers to the difference or distinction between things that are being compared or put in contrast to one another. This difference can be in appearance, meaning, or quality, and the purpose is to highlight similarities or differences between two things.

university life is hell. After getting admitted, they take quizzes three times and count the best two. Thereās no option to cheat. After the 10-mark quizzes, they take a midterm and then a final exam ā all within 3 months. Even class attendance carries 5 marks, so you need to attend every class. Because of all these exams, you donāt even get time to study all the chapters in every subject.
Y'all help me what does AU means in RP's bc I saw it everywhere on C.ai but I don't know what it means. (And I'm too lazy to search it up)
Alternate universe
Alternate/Alternative Universe
basically a parallel universe to another of some sorts
like let's just say
you've got the source material here, in which there are characters such as A, B and C, etc.
now, in another universe, which is what we call an AU, the same characters from the original universe may change
they may have different personality traits, beliefs, sentiments, outlooks, or they may not even exist at all and there are already other characters replacing them
an AU is not necessarily limited to characters being changed, in-universe locations and places may be modified, the characters from the original universe may be living their own peaceful lives but in an AU they might be fighting for the sake of their existence, etc etc
kinda fun to work with tbh

I is the first person subject form and you use it when you saying that you are performing the verb. I'm is the contraction of I and am, and is the linking verb, meaning you can say it so that you are something, or that you are currently performing an action, like i am walking. I am and I'm can be used interchangeable, except when it cannot be contracted because the verb is stressed from an answer. "Are you going to the party? Yes, I am."
stop saying "u" and "r" it makes you seem unintelligent and ghetto their not real words
(My opinion)
in the nicest way possible;
their = pronoun (possessive)
they're= they are

How do i learn to spell English
Itās easier to say the words slowly, you might make a mistake sometimes but itās ok! People will understand
Hii soy nuevita aquĆ :33
No.
šæ
Te ganó por dos dĆas.
In my way: watch videos. Yeah....just watch videos and find some foreign server then I can speak English (ļ¾āć)
Lost love el mejor extreme
if you mean "spell" literally, just pronounce each letter individually and then say the whole word out loud
and if you mean it as in memorizing words and using them in appropriate situations, you'll need to regularly expose urself to words you're unfamiliar and struggling with, and you'll need to put them to use often
i'd recommend reading and listening a LOT, you may also wanna join English speaking servers to practise writing to better utilize certain words
Do you fucking like geometry dash?

Is there different between labour and labor?
One is the British version of spelling it(labour) and one is the America version(labor)!! But they mean the same thing
no
Thx
ofc
higga hae in da shae shae inda bida nae nae
What the sigma
I donāt think it matters, you can use them both! The only difference is one is English and the other is American English.
-# (Itās confusing, but the difference is just how words are spelt. Such as American English says ājewelryā whereas in Britain itās ājewelleryā!! (Also some things are called different names like pacifier/dummy, rubber/eraser, and more!))
You might not need to know this but Labour/labor can mean both giving birth (having a babyš¶), or working/ a type of work!
Example: The group of cats laboured up the hill (it was hard work to get up the hill)
Or: The fairy laboured from morning to evening (the fairy worked from the morning to the evening!)
Hi guy!
Hi!
what Is the different between Because and Why????
Because have 7 letters and why have 3 lettersš¤
'Why' is asking a question, for example
'Why are you doing that?'
'Because' is an explanation
'Because i'm hungry'
Me too
āWhyā i a part of a adverb. It modifies or interacts with a verb by asking for the reason behind the action.
''Why''
Why run so fast?
Run Is the Reason for running
Why shout?
Shout Is the Reason for shouting
Why do you stay here?
Stay is the Reason for staying
Why did she leave early?
Leave is the Reason for leaving
''Because'' isnāt part of a verb, itās actually a subordinating conjunction. That means it joins clauses together, usually introducing a reason or explanation.
an example:
Function of ''Because''
It connects a cause (or reason) to an action.
It comes before a clause that answers a āwhy.ā
She left early because she wasnāt feeling well.
Verb: ''left''
''Because'' introduces why she left, itās part of the reasoning.
And for those who don't know what Is an subordinating conjuction Is:
a subordinating conjunction is a word that connects two parts of a sentence, making one part depend on the other. It shows the relationship between them like cause and effect, time, or contrast. For example, in āI stayed home because it was raining,ā the word ābecauseā is the subordinating conjunction. It explains your reason for staying home with the fact that it was raining.
Just found out that English apparently doesn't have a word for "ŠŗŃŃŠ°Š³Š°" and that it's just called "dried apricots", and it really confused me because there is a word for dried plums - "prunes". Is there really no word for dried apricots or am I missing something?
English really just calls them "dried apricots." There's no special, separate word like "prunes" for dried plums.
so yeah, you're right.
its like evolution of the word. prune was close to the latin/ french word but plum came from germanic roots. basically they had two words for plum and they were like uhh what do we do now? so they gave prune to the dried version and plum to the fresh version

Hello! I wanted to know what "brb" "btw" is, I still don't know š
Brb is be right back and btw is by the way
brb stands for ''be right back.'' People use it when they need to step away for a moment, like grabbing a snack or taking a quick phone call during a chat. basically being AFK If you know.
Btw Means By the way. Itās a casual way to add more info, change the topic, or drop something into the conversation like ''btw, you have nice drip.''
Uhm what does āigā mean i see it everywhere
"I guess"
what does "afk" mean.. i know when it is used but what does it mean..
"away from keyboard"
uh what does "Dawg" ?
It's like Thug or Sigma
if literally, it's a nonstandard way to spell "dog"
if in slang, it's like "bro", "blud"
Dawg means youāre calling someone your friend or itās something you can call someone to address them
It can mean two things,
- Ig: I guess
Or sometimes people use ig for Instagram
Hi, how are guys, I'm new on this thing
Hello
Hi
''Dawg'' is like a slang, like a casual or street-style way to say ''dude,'' ''bro,'' or ''friend.'' Youāll hear it a lot in American-English.
AFK stands for āAway From Keyboard.ā Itās internet shorthand for when someone steps away and isnāt actively using their computer or device.
it stands for "I guess", this is an expression usually used in a casual manner to convey that the speaker isn't feeling very certain about something and/or is only coming up with assumptions
"This word is also in the dictionary, I guess" ā the speaker assumes that a word in particular is in the dictionary, not 100% sure whether or not that's true
you may alternatively use "I think", "I assume" or "I suppose" and plenty more for formality reasons
it could also just be shorthand for Instagram, a social platform
Sup
Guys i wanna ask..What does tbh mean?? (I'm not very good at English so..)

fw means "fuck with", basically it means liking, supporting, or associating with something or someone!

Is eight similar to the word five
What do you mean?
Eight Is a larger number than five (8 > 5)
The word Five starts with an ''F'' letter and ends in a ''e'' letter (but ends with the V sound If you're gonna pronounce it)
the word Eight also has the letter ''E'', familiar to Five. It ends with the letter ''T'' (but it sounds like ''eigh'' If you're gonna be pronouncing it)
they both have the letter ''i,'' and the letter ''E'' so yes, they are somewhat the same.
What does āsybeauā mean please

Away from keyboard, as if someone is inactive
a duvet is basically a blanket but way thicker.
