i think good english enhances a bot, and depending on the person, too many mistakes can make ppl skip a bot entirely
i just started making a bot and this was the intro
it was a warm sunny beautiful day at the beaches of Elusia as ivy was relaxing in the beach away from her royal duty's as she relaxed with her trusted knight Arsene beside her who was off duty too ivy sighed as she felt a great weight off her shoulders and she slowly leaned on Arsene shoulders and she held him dear to her heart
ivy: am glad we can have sometime to relax in the beach like this Arsene
should i do anything diffrent ?
yep good english makes the bot way better, I see too many use "u" instead of "you" and the bot starts speaking with "u" which is annoying
definitely needs punctuation first of all! because you use no commas or periods, there's no "breaks" in the paragraph if that makes sense
putting punctuation will give a nice rhythm to your roleplay
I can type you up an example if you wish
i would love that
`It was a warm, beautiful sunny day at the beaches of Elusia as Ivy was relaxing there, away from her royal duties. She relaxed with her trusted knight Arsene beside her, who was off-duty too. Ivy sighed as she felt a great weight off her shoulders, and she slowly leaned on Arsene's shoulders, holding him dear to her heart.
Ivy: "I'm glad we can have sometime to relax in the beach like this, Arsene." `
couple commas and periods added to slow down and split the text into multiple sentences, also proper capitalization whenever necessary!
This^ plus I would recommend to always put the text into a grammar checker, like grammarly etc..
@foggy yokeSorry about that, "minor" is kinda in our automod
yes! grammarly is great for double checking
It's alright. xD
ohh i see now thanks so much this really helped
np!
another tip I can give you is to read your text out loud, and make natural pauses only when you read a comma or period in it. If there's little punctuation you'll feel like the text goes by very quickly in a way that won't feel nartural
I also use grammarly because I tend to make drafts for my novels so it's really time efficient when I need to edit my chapters at a later date. It tends to get messy when I draft. I just need to jot down my ideas so I don't really check my spellings and grammar when drafting.
my confession is that I don't use it at all though I probably should
it's definitely important for drafts of novels and similar stuff, though. rp is low-stakes enough that I just wing it
I for one, use the google docs spelling check thing
when I write fics it's on google docs on my phone like a heathen, for bots I do it right into the character.ai boxes. it sucks on mobile though, the boxes are TINY
I always need to be on my PC when writing because I need to multitask between different tabs, because I also tend to do a lot of researching alongside when creating my characters, the worldbuilding, the plot etc. I can't do it on a tiny screen.
you really shouldnt do it directly on the website, I know someone said theyre greeting didnt save and it got reseted, you really should write it down somewhere first, like notes, google docs, word, etc.. and then paste it on to the c.ai website
Yes also this, I for one cant use just my phone and plus the character greeting on phone from what I know is still 500 when on computer is 2048
I use the mobile website and not the app so in terms of limits I'm good. I generally copy/paste my desc and greetings so I don't lose them too, cause retyping everything is a pain LOL
Oh, thanks for explaining now I get it what youre doing.
I usually use c.ai in bed on my phone so I'm not super used to being on it on the computer
I believe it was in a film
how do commas work? genuinely I dont understand them
yes i am very bad with them
you should see it as something that adds pauses to your sentences, and as a link between statements
there's many uses to them but it separates parts of your phrases mostly
wahh thank you thank you
if there's any bots or replies you've made that you would want me to review, let me know :) sometimes having a specific example helps
Also dont commas work with two setences merging into one, sometimes using FANBOYS?
F: for
A: and
N: nor
B: but
O: or
Y: yet
S: so
thank you thats really helpful genyinely
But im super lazy so i somtines dont use commas as i did just now XD
𝐵𝑜𝑜! 𝐴𝑛𝑦𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑏𝑦𝑒
👁️👁️
hi! idk if you're still looking for help, but here are some tips :
after introductory phrases, like i did just now.
before coordinating conjunctions, such as the FANBOY method (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, etc.)
between all items in a series; like milk, bread, butter, and skittles.
can also, but not always, be used to enclose not super important parts of a sentence! (the sentence can exist with/without that particular phrase, as it merely slightly modifies the meaning)
also, you should use commas when indicating dialogue! for example, if i were to say, "i am am a genius," i'd put commas before the first quotation and between the inside of the last word and quotation.
hope this helped!!
What
I've heard that carrots are great for the eyes, but I feel like putting a carrot in my eye would hurt. How can I insert a carrot in my eye without it hurting, and such that I still receive its benefits?
UHH I know this is probably a joke, but I'm too slow to tell. Please don't insert carrots into your eyes my friend. Eating carrots strengthens your eyesight. Not shoving them in there.
No pain, no gain
Lmfao, don't put them in your eyes, eat them🥕🥕🤣
Fr HAHAHA😂
Imagine learning the human anatomy in sixth grade💀 i learned that in grade six, years ago, goddamn i miss said something and my classmates has been like "woah calm down!" 😖
You're going to be alright.
😭
Ah now I know what that means. I'm confused when people use FANBOYS😭
Ah that's good that you know now
What about Fangirls? 😃
They are over somewhere simping for hot anime guys
😅 Yup, i am over hot guys in Anime Shounen Mens.
Lmfao
what's the difference between
-who
-whom
-whomst
I'm so confused because google translate just give me the same word in french for the 3 ;-;
Vsem hi
I know only:
Who
Whose
Whom
But never heard Whomst.
Well that's because "whomst" was most likely made up by the internet as a fancy way to the word "whom". Likely used to "indicate" superior intellects, wits, and overall to sound elegant.
One example was the meme,"Whomst has awakened the ancient one" Which had Barney, the purple dinosaur, stand in a rather peculiar, albeit horrifyingly hostile way, facing the camera as if the person had done something terribly-terribly wrong.
okay so now i only need to know what's the difference between who and whom
Oh! I answered a similar question in the past. Here's my explanation. #🧐︱learn-english message
Hope that helps! :3
thank you! your explanations are very clear! <3
How to English
Do english
Engs
how do you use apostrophes in english
people do them before and after "s" but i don't get it
it can be used to refer to possession
like let's say you wanna talk about someone's cat, you could say emily's cat or slug's cat
it can also be used as a contraction of the word "is", ex.: "slug's asking questions about english" instead of "slug is asking questions about english"
If you say something like "look it's an orange" the 's is a contraction and actually means "look it is an orange."
You can also use it to say if there is more of one of something or if something owns something else. Like, if I say "Look, there are cats over there!" That means there's more than one. But if I say "Look, there are cat's over there" It wouldn't be proper English because that means the cat owns something
but what about when the apostrophe is after the s
thanku!!!
do you have an example?
oh! wait i think i get what you mean
apostrophe after s serves a similar use as the possession rule. with nouns ending in s, you don't wanna add an 's to it
i think it's when simethjng is "owned" by multiple things/people collectively or something idk
because that's very repetitive: so let's say you wanna talk about some american people's money, you wouldn't type "these americans's money"
instead, you would type "these americans' money"
ohhh yeshhshsjjs
thankyouou
that's the one example of an apostrophe after s that i can think of. np!
:3

Someone enlighten me on the differences of Thy, thou, thus, and thee
hello, friendly reminder to use this channel for learning english only. not for learning on how to rizz
Not something I thought I’d ever see
I'm here
Thy = Your / It's used to indicate ownership or association with the person being addressed.
Example: "Thy Book is on the table" > means "Your book is on the table"
Thou = You / It's an archaic pronoun used as the subject of a sentence in the second person singular.
Example: "Thou art kind" > means "You are kind"
Thus = In this way - in this manner / an adverb that it's used to indicate a particular method or manner of doing something.
Example: "He spoke thus" > means "He spoke in this manner/in this way"
Thee = You / It's an object pronoun in the second person singular, and it's used to refer to the person being addressed.
Example: "I give thee my heartfelt thanks" means "I give you my heartfelt thanks."
These terms are early modern English though from a bygone era (think Shakespear). So while they are no longer in common usage in modern English, they still hold cultural and historical significance.
@versed bison

When should you use thine? Before a vowel?
"Thine" would be used before a vowel sound, yes.

guys, hi. I have a question, what is the difference between “stomach” and the word “stomach”?
supposedly I mean the “stomach” is the one that is inside our body, and the “stomach” is the one that we can stroke
then I don’t understand how to use these two words, because they have several meanings
Context. In cases where "stomach" would be unclear, you can use a synonym such as belly, tummy, midriff, etc.
What about the stomach, which is inside us ?
We call that the stomach. Colloquially, it might be referred to as the gut, but I think that can also refer to the intestines, so it isn't more clear.
damn.. what a shame.. I forgot that I was communicating with you in English and not in Russian
Yours is funny, but not helpful.

« how many languages can you speak?»
In this context 'do' and 'can' have almost the same meaning. You don't have to use "💀", like I was extremely bad in grammar + that person had added 'correct me', so the main idea is to have a right construction of sentence.

Respectfully, learn to use commas before trying to correct people. Also, both are right ways to say it.

Hi! I learn English and I need more practice in her. I hope that you help me with it. My level now - beginner, but I could make mistakes. And I want to learn English with native speakers. Here have they?
And I need go to sleep now. Good night. See tomorrow!
As a writer who also writes novels and fanfics, here are some helpful tips I could share that have helped me in my writing. I'll try to make it short as possible, so I don't ramble on forever lol.
The best ideas come through the process of writing, so start even when your initial idea is mediocre. Don't wait for genius to strike, search for it by writing.
Avoid overusing clichés that can instantly kill your story, such as the typical "the mc woke up in their bed this morning blablabla....". That's boring to read as a first hook. Unless, they woke up to something that's happening (external conflict).
Make sure your characters are well-rounded. Don't always be nice to your characters. A relatable character is one who is flawed, who goes through shit. Don't just focus on the plot, while it's good to have a good plot, its the characters who will be carrying the story.
**
A good story always needs conflicts.** You need an external conflict (the plot) and an internal conflict (the character). Put these two together and there's your story.
**Cut out all excessive info dumping. **Readers don't care about what your character's favourite colour is, or what their favourite laundry detergent is. There's no need to mention every single little detail that does nothing to impact the story's overall structure. It slows down the pacing immensely. They care about the plot, and the characters - the obstacles your characters are facing, and how they will overcome those obtacles.
Great tips!

Questin~ Why is "I" always capitalizd? in german, "ich" is never capitalizd unles it is the first word of a sentence....
Mainly because it's like you're talking about a person despite "you" not being capitalized. It's like when you mention a person you capitalize the first letter of their name. That's just my guess though
My school taught me that it's a standalone pronoun n stuff.
Like.. a proper noun for example... the definition: "a name used for an individual person, place, or organization, spelled with initial capital letters."
okay but shower thought, why does ice, look like a volcano, from freaking cloud nine

Hi!
Love the username
I wanted to make my chats longer than normal, like making the actions a bit more detailed and the words my character says detailed as well
From 'I closed the door' to something more...detailed,any tips on how I make my chats a bit detailed?
If anyone did help,thank you.
Love,
Yang.
You can use "I shut the door after I walked into the room" or "I shut the door right behind me after I walked into the room" you can also make your chats more detailed by adding extra words like "I walked into the bathroom" to "I walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind me." Or googling synonyms for certain words, it usually breaks it down into more words.
That should help me create more detailed plots in chats, thank you!
Of course! no problem at all:)

How to use in-on-at ?
In: referred to when there's an object inside another object or when a person is going through something; they're in a state of something
On: referred to when an object is standing on top of another object or when a certain object (example: an electric fan) is active
At: referred to a specified time (example: 15:00/3:00 PM, the moment, midnight)
Indubitably, I approbate of your statement. Your opinion is valid and easily understandable💯

Oof. 😂🤣 Poor of you.
This shows an indubious waggish of thy statement, my dear interlocutor. Envision persisting with the antediluvian loquacious of thy discourse 'oof' in the year of 2024. Young companion, I must edify thee it seems we have transcended beyond the confine of 2020; elevate, thou possess a mirthless behaviour, but also the sophistication of thy humor. Thy waggishness appears to be lack, and rather; it doesn't possess any jocundities behavior, and there is a notable absence of thy intellectual edification in thy banter.

No, search on Google.
I don't understand your statement ngl js elaborate it
interjection. ˈüf. used to express discomfort, surprise, or dismay. I once watched a highlight reel of Tyson knockouts with a roomful of intoxicated medical students who punctuated every blow with phrases like "Oof!

/gen q
"Albeit" means "Although" / "Even though", it indicates something true while introducing something that contrasts with the main statement.
She worked hard, albeit she was tired.
"Perhaps" is a formal version of "Maybe" or "Possibly", and indicates something uncertain.
Maybe it will rain tomorrow > Perhaps it will rain tomorrow.

English is the worst language to learn, it's overrated
I asked "hello, how are you guys"
Im confused on how people born in an English speaking country learn most of it at the age of 6
Oh ok
Bc we speak it everyday 🫠
True
I actually learn English in one yr
Not to nerd out, but babies often learn to vocalize at 12-18 months, and form sentences at around 2 years old. They're constantly exposed to language in their developmental years and so by the time they're six they'll be able to speak somewhat decently. This varies from kid to kid given a number of factors, but by the time a kid is six they should know how to vocalize basic needs and wants, and describe things
When I was 5 I used to only speak Tagalog but when I was alike 7 I could speak Engish

Hi
can someone explain what the difference between affect and effect is? /genq
i want to learn english i dont know any english
Affect is a verb meanwhile effect is a noun. If something is affecting you then it's having an influence on you, etc etc but if something has a bad effect then it means it has a bad influence, understand the difference between the two? One is influencing(for example) and the other is influence so basically just verb and noun difference
I would recommend Intaking media and general information through English but not just Intaking but also learning through it. Duolingo could be a good start unless you know the basics already
ph, so something cant effect me but it affects me? (idk if that makes sense)
so affect = good or neutral while effect = bad?
My only language is english and I never even understood the difference 💀
Effect: Noun. For example, "Add some cute effects to the photo!" ---- "This effect is making me feel dizzy...".
Affect: Verb. "Oh, it doesn't affects me... But it can affect the cat!"
Affect: Means that something is having an influence or causing a change on someone/something
Effect: The influence on question.
Affect can also mean affection. Like, affection/love to someone or something.
(I'm not a native English, so please tell me if I'm mistaken! :] Hope this helps! )
Engle
What is Engrish
I would like to clarify that "Affect" and "Affection" has nothing to with each other, they are two different things. "Affect" is a verb used to describe the influence it has on someone e.g "The rainy weather affected my mood."
"Affection" on the other hand refer to a liking or fondness they have for someone e.g "She showed affecrion towards her pet by snuggling it". So, while both involve emtions, they have different meanings and context in which they are used.
Why is “bologna” spelled like that
Ohhh, I see, sorry then! Thank you for clarifying :>

Lol I remember when I struggled with English, learned it by playing roleplaying games online and having people correct me when I messed up
When in doubt, always use a dictionary or thesaurus. Merriam-Webster is my go-to when I write my novels or roleplay. :3
Affect= idk like feelings or whatever like "affection"
Effect I like cause and effect, what happens aka the results
I learnt the difference between the two in Minecraft lmao. The potion effects affect me.

When you open your mouth and make that natural response sound, how do you spell it. Say oh, say ow, say ah, say uh, say o LIKE WHAT HOW DO I SPELL THE SOUND YOU MAKE WHEN YOU TELL SOMEONE TO OPEN THEIR MOUTH 😭💀
The best way to go about it is to support those sounds with an action, "She gasped...", "He yawned...", "He let out a sound of disbelief when he heard the news..., "They were in awe...". Use actions/context to support sounds and anything a character does.

Does anyone really think they will learn English from here?
So when do we learn spanish?
Perhaps
I learned many things here, can't come with one rn but I learned many things
caife = coffee (gaelige)
I see.d
For example, what did you learn?
things
They do, people come here to ask what a word, phrase or perhaps a whole sentence means and people will help them understand the meaning of that word or phrase. People also get help with how to spell certain words. It's a channel where people can reach out to get help, to simply put it that way. :3
I don't think it's memorable
my own opinion
Huh?
I think the best things you can learn here are phrases or slang words .
It’s going to improve your conversation with an actual English person .
I don't think so...
Sorry (hi for bad English)
English is my fifth language
Why is there only a "learn English" chat when the platform is so effortlessly multilingual?
coz 'murica 🦅🇺🇸
who would want to learn any other language if you can learn English™️ instead?!
I guess it's because in #📜︱rules it's stated that only English is the language that shall be used here. But learning a different language is indeed interesting, but perhaps this server ain't for it.
I think so too.dd
perhaps
I see
When I first came here I knew no English, and now I am a talking platypus.
Okay, sorry, this might be useful, but it's not exactly catchy in my opinion.

Hello here!
I don't know when I should use "start" and "begin" :-: someone can help me please?
Hi 😄
You can use both start and begin, but begin is more formal and used less.
Oh okay so I can write " They are starting the great exploration"?
Yep, but you can also write “They are beginning the great exploration”. Either works.
Oh okay thanks 😁
No problem :3
what does "IRS" mean
what are the difference between „you’re“ and „your“
You´re = Short for "You are .....etc."
Your = Possessions, something belonging to someone. "Your book", "Your cat", "Your turn" etc. It modifies a noun or pronoun.
This is an acronym for something. Most commonly it is used to refer to the "Internal Revenue Service", a government body in the United States that handles federal tax laws in the country.
ahhhh ok
thank youu
does anyone know when to use 'than' rather then 'then' 😭😭
Then = Usually refers to time. "I ate dinner, then took a nap.", "Things were better back then." etc.
Than = Used for comparisons. "He was taller than me.", "Other than that, things went smoothly."
thank youuuu! ✨✨
I learned English from playing only GTA 4,i dunno how.I just one day knew how to speak and read properly 😭😭😭😭

no guys learn german instead /j
Yeah
Deutsch ist sehr cool
I have a question. In school I learned that when someone has something it's shown like this:
-its horse
-Annas horse
And when it ends with an S it's shown like:
-Nemesis' horse
And putting an s with an ' behind a word it means:
-it's a horse = it is a horse
But I often see people using the latter one to show the "ownership" of the object.(Ben's horse -> Ben has the horse)
Can you help me understand?
It's. ( S ) property.
It comes after the name
I'm sorry but that doesn't explain anything-
Let me simplify it for you. If it came after name so its s property like ( ben's house )
It indicates ownership of something
It's not an abbreviation for something
Oh, so if it's an object, person and etc it goes Bens but if it's property it goes Ben's?
Or what?
Let me just give you an example
It's horse
S here and the ' . It is an abbreviation for ( is )
When ( s ) here ( ben's house) It indicates ownership of something
It is not an abbreviation for ( is )
.
How do we distinguish?
If the ( 's ) comes with the same name like (ben's) then it is S property
Then why did my teachers tell me that it's Bens not Ben's? I'm just confused about that now.
Is ben here is a name ?
Yeah.
Your teacher is wrong then
.
We can't add the S like this
(Bens)
The correct one is
( Ben's)
This is in the case of ownership
Okay, thanks for the help. Can I have another small question?
I'm not good at English either, but I'm trying my best
Is it Let's go or Lets go and is it You're welcome or your welcome.
It is let's go
And it's you're welcome
Let's go (Let us go) and You're welcome (You are welcome)
Thanks a lot!
You're welcome
In a way this reminded me of the way ai talks in c.ai
The small question part
Lmao.
Is stucking a word-?
I think not, did a bot say this word in one of their replies?
My friend did and now I’m so confused
Actually, yk what?
Encyclopedia exists
lmao
Salve!

I don't think so
okay thank you!
Maybe you're thinking of glue? (As in, sticky stuff that drys things together)

"Glowed" is the past tense. :3

How do i use tryna and limp in words?
Tryna = trying to
Limp = hurt/walking weird
"limp" can also refer to being floppy, weak, or dead weight. for example, boiled noodles are limp
Ooo :oo
cat = the animal that goes meow and has pointy ears.
My pointy ears pet could bark, is it still called cat?
if it barks its a dog
or its got the wrong software installed(JOKE)
Lemme give you a random vocabulary, boisterous means loud and minacious means meance or threat, precarious means dangerous

ure so right! im not slow, im super smart. Thanks for the advice Gavin
By bye buy sounds the same when you say it
Bye = informal way to say 'goodbye'.
Buy = to purchase something.
By = describe someone or something in location.
Yea..
English is confusing sometimes
What helped me a lot is just listening how people talk and the way they use words
I learned by just listening to them and using English as primary language in all kind of electronics or series/movies
It’s about context, when I say “I will buy something” it’s understood that it’s “buy” not “by” or “bye” because neither of them make sense in context
hi!
like english isn't hard but weird
like word weird i thought my entire life that you write it wierd bro
🥰
So I am not sure how is it called even in my language its the thing you do with words when you place the star * before them and * a star after? Can I ask that here?
You mean italics ? when you place an asterisk on both ends of a word or sentence. 🙂
yes! I was having such a lag with it thanks!
Hiii
Sorry for asking, but what do they mean when they say "spoon"? Like"they spoon you" 😭
It’s a cuddling position. It comes from the way spoons are organised in a kitchen drawer.
Oh! Okay thanks!
i firbfnejieksis
howcome this is a channel 😭
I am english bad at speaking
I is doubted if them is joking or not
I good grammar and I die you, I humans love
What does style-wise mean?
It means that something that is being presented or expressed is goood, but that it could be improved.
Example: "I love the vintage aesthetic interior, but style-wise, the colour doesn't match with the overall theme."
It could also mean preferences: "Style-wise, I prefer vintage/retro clothing over trendy styles.
Duolingo
"i fell" or "i fell off" is there any difference? which one is correct?
Depends on the context.
"I fell off....", this could mean you fell off from something. "I fell off the bike."
And "I fell" = "It was so slippery outside, I fell."
Both works, they just need more context to support whatever statement comes after, or before.
thanks ❤️
im just waiting for them to put voice audio in this chat it would be useful
okay ❤️
what is this 500 internal server error, what about my chat with the bots, is this the end

Hi everyone 🙂
Hi!
Hello! ☺
I got called a “Ohio liver” today… help??? 😰😰😰

Is my English good? My prime language is Russian.
I don't speak Canadian, but they punches are soft like pillows
My mind just goes blank when trying to write a good msg to a bot
Is there any bot which can help me with that?
Like teach me how to write descriptive msgs?
The best way to go about it is to not think too hard about how to write a good message/reply. Think more of it as if you were in that very scene, immerse yourself in that world, by interacting with the environment in your mind's eye.
Add sensory and concrete details to your descriptions. What do you hear? What do you see? What do you smell? What do you feel?
In your mind/fantasy, anything can happen, there are no limits.
Here's pro-tip: Dump all your random thoughts onto a blank page and just write random nonsense. It doesn't even have to make sense. Once you've started, keep it going, things will get a lot easier after that. This will help you warm up that part of your brain, and unleashing your creativity
Now that I think about it, immersing myself in the world will get me write goof msgs actually.
yo no hablo ingles
I genuinely thought you meant the seasoning when you said msg 😭😭
Another good tip for writing more vividly is by reading or listening comprehensions to expand your vocabulary : )
HAHA MSG 😭
Msg is the name of a seasoning? As an Indian, I didn't know that, which is surprising.
hiii, what are you talking about?
It's used to enhance umami flavor and kind of looks like salt 😅
Some misunderstanding led to us talking about seasoning lol
What's umami?
Omg HAHA
it's like, taste of the ocean/sea? fish or shellfish taste?
It's a sort of meaty savory taste found in foods like seaweed or parmesan
Like fish?
I've never seen a shellfish in my life.
Somewhat like fish, yeah
Fishy much?
whats the legacy thing about in the new c.ai? example, I scrolled down to (dont judge) 9 months ago, and at the top it said legacy?
It says Legacy chat?
Old chats that has the "chat" in its URL is called legacy chat. All new chats has the "chat2" in the URL
Thank you for this! It makes sense now
I'm Filipino so...what's the difference of "In" and "on"?
In = like used for inside
On = above things, like on top of things.
something like that
ohhh thanks!!<3
Does anyone know the difference between had (sth) and has (sth)?
Had = past tense, you used to but not anymore
Has = present tense, something that you still actively have.
"I had a sandwich for lunch" (you ate the sandwich, it doesn't actively exist anymore)
"I have to go to the store later today" (you still need to go to the store)
Hope that makes sense.
thank you sir/ma'am
You're welcome!
Shellfish are: shrimp, mussels, clams, oysters, crab, lobsters, (I'm allergic to them, but they taste so good, I can only have them every few while 🤤)

Oh never mind this chat is dead
Wow
Perhaps reading things in English out loud could help you with pronounciation.
Sometimes learning a language may not be enough, if it's also not utilized in other forms, like using the language to speak with other english speakers in your day-to-day basis.
I think immersing yourself in places where you're more exposed to the language, kinda "forces" you to use said language to speak with.
A language must also be spoken, since reading, writing or listening to stuff in english may not always suffice when it comes to actually speaking it.
I sometimes find that mimicking how others talk can also be a great tool. Not just for learning the language but learning the different styles and speech patterns of others (can be helpful for learning accents too). Breaking longer sentences into shorter ones or focus on a certain sentence/phrase or word and then repeat them over and over again can also work. Perhaps even look up some pronounciation guides online, there should be some free guides out there.
its cuz ur from other country thats why
bom dia 🙏
hi
Huh?
good morning in portuguese
みんな、おはよう
did u mean Good morning everyone
Can anyone explain to me how to use they and them
ill show a exsample, "They went to the shop, near THEM was a sushi bar"
"oh no, they left their car keys behind. i should tell them."
good morning
idk what ur talking abt but i definitely agree
You seem very reasonable i will vote for you
They and them have the same meaning: a pronoun referring to multiple people, two or more.
They is a subject pronoun, used in the beginning of the clause. The subject is the doer of the action.
"They went to the store."
Them is an object pronoun, used after the verb.
"I sent a letter to them."
I need to learn German someone teach me taht
Wait what is passive?
Like how do you make passive sentences
Well, in German there are two forms of passive. processual passive and statal passive and depending on which one you want to use the sentence changes a bit.
In procedural passive it is rather unimportant who did something, it is specifically about what was done. Statal passive is about what the effects or consequences of the action carried out caused.
If you want me to I could send you a link to a website that, in my opinion, explains passive German pretty well, because as far as I know is writing in German not allowed on the server-
This really helped me tysm omg
Glad I could help:)
