You don't... really tame a horse? When you buy one it could be for multiple reasons (competitions etc.) but to me I wanted a friend and it clicked when it was about personality. But since his background is full of human who beat the shit out of him patience was key. Chilling in his field, brushing, caressing, cuddling. Giving a lot of treats, teaching him tricks. Some horses are "jumpy" but a lot of them are misunderstood and 80% of the riders are just here to slap their horses so...
