PEAK AS ALWAYS SILLY

lethal canyon
#

vencord's transparency toggle doesn't seem to work for me?
it's not transparent, and i can still resize the window, but it says i shouldn't be able to

rich bobcat
#

but also idk why it says that

#

I've never had an issue with resizing with the transparent windows

lethal canyon
#

yeah
i think this is just a me issue, but i thought you might know why

rich bobcat
#

hmm, did you disable the background image?

lethal canyon
#

yeah, but i don't even see the background image

rich bobcat
#

and restart vencord?

#

fully

#

quit and reopen

lethal canyon
#

I did it from the taskbar icon

#

I see the image when discord launches, but not after

rich bobcat
#

oh what

#

are you on stable

lethal canyon
#

yeah

rich bobcat
#

thats super weird

#

what theme do you have on?

lethal canyon
#

nothin

rich bobcat
#

I used ash

lethal canyon
#

except yours

#

oh

#

i'm on onyx, but i tried ash too

rich bobcat
#

ah

rich bobcat
#

anyways

#

that's weird

#

do you

#

have

#

client themes enabled

lethal canyon
#

no. Do i need it enabled?

#

also fuck i lost my 1k line quickcss while restarting...

#

ig that's a lesson not to store all my css in quickcss without making frequent backups

vale creek
vale creek
#

cus i forgot the name and went "random bullshit scentence GO"

vale creek
lethal canyon
#

i luckily just found a "backup" from a few weeks ago when i tried out equicord, and put my quickcss in there

vale creek
#

good idea to make backups rather than relying on vencord and equicord's cloud servers ๐Ÿ˜ญ

lethal canyon
#

wait

#

could it be in cloud

#

i forgot that exists

vale creek
#

possibly๏ผ

#

go check and sync from it

lethal canyon
#

ok i don't have it on, so no lmao

vale creek
#

๐Ÿ˜”

#

i use it cus i use vc (and ig now equicord) on multiple devices

#

also while i like the extra plugins with equicord, not all seem to be properly maintained, whereas vencord plugins usually always work and known issues are made if one doesnt

#

equicord's server seems also a little less organized than vencords ๐Ÿค”

#

anyway im rambling .. oopsie

rich bobcat
#

uhh so you have transparency but not background

lethal canyon
#

i had this enabled

#

I don't actually use themes, i was just kinda curious to try it, so it's not super important to figure it out

rich bobcat
#

oh, it sucks that this is your experience with it

#

try downloading the theme as a file possibly and add it to

#

..uhh

#

your themes folder

lethal canyon
#

I don't think that would cause it

rich bobcat
#

hmm me neither

#

it seems like you're getting half the effects

#

you mentioned how you have a really long uhh

#

quickcss

lethal canyon
#

i removed it and replaced it with your theme

rich bobcat
#

ah

#

okay weird .

lethal canyon
#

(and in the process lost it, but i got it mostly back now, so i can do a bit of debugging on your theme now)

rich bobcat
#

hmm

#

seems really weird that it'd do that in general

#

could you try doing like

#

* { background: 0 0 !important;}

lethal canyon
#

ok it does work in browser

#

and yeah that works

#

well i didn't do that, i did html * { background: transparent!}

rich bobcat
#

why lol

lethal canyon
#

well that would also set html to transparent

rich bobcat
#

mhm

#

it's supposed to

lethal canyon
#

oh

#

i don't have transparency on right now

#

but i see your image now

rich bobcat
#

so you have some kind of experiment or variant of dihcord Dom that features a new element which isn't affected by

#

theme options?

#

what kind of

lethal canyon
#

ok i found it

#

i have no idea why fast follows adds this

#

i assume it's from fast follows

#

yeah it is

#

i have no idea why it does darker guild list by settings a background across the whole app

#

ok so fast follows doesn't add the element, there's just another style that has higher specificity because of the .refresh-fast...guild-bg selector

rich bobcat
#

it's right, it's my fault I didn't style that specific variable

#

@lethal canyon

#

the theme should work now

brazen swift
#

This might be weird to say but I noticed gifs get pixelated with this snippet turned on

#

I'm not sure if that's theme issue or css overlapping with something else I have

#

Okay I checked and it's not css overlap

#

(oddly specific example choice)

#

Okay it's not just gifs, all attachments get pixelated

lethal canyon
#

it's all (almost) images

#

html has image-rendering: pixelated for the background image

lethal canyon
brazen swift
open flame
#

lets work on a fusion from this and midnight

rich bobcat
lethal canyon
rich bobcat
#

I'm on mobile atm

#

what does it do

lethal canyon
#

it was an experiment that they released as a follow up to the desktop refresh

rich bobcat
#

wah

#

okay

meager radish
#

@rich bobcat there's a missing backdrop-filter:blur; on autocomplete__13533 autocomplete__6b0e0 autocompleteAttached__6b0e0 (not sure which class you wanna put this on, so I just gave you all so you can find it) (the emoji selection thingy that shows up when you type :) no?

rich bobcat
#

i need to use a pseudo element to style it

meager radish
#

wdym "it's a bit more sophisticated"?
-# I just put it there and it worked

rich bobcat
#

it's also used to select commands and I believe games

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

there's another view I think

rich bobcat
meager radish
rich bobcat
#

the reason I'm cautious is because backdrop blur can be very volatile

#

in the sense that it can move absolutely attached components

#

and doesn't have support for nested backdrop blur

meager radish
#

๐Ÿ‘Œ I'm adding it in my css for now, will remove it if you add it in yours
-# (btw also added it on .buttons__5126c and .reactionTooltip_b49891)

rich bobcat
#

and idk where reaction tooltip is from

#

im getting to it rn tho

#

oh thanks

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

yeah i figured

#

it might be with emojis too

#

mhm

#

yeah im getting to everything just give me a bit

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

still crap to read

#

oh wait

#

i have blur off

meager radish
#

oh

rich bobcat
#

no wonder

#

hold on

#

yeah those are themed

#

nvm lmao

#

reminder: if somethings not working consider turning it on

meager radish
#

btw I think that's only usefull to me, but since I use the compact version of the member list I added it on .membersWrap_c8ffbb as well
And classes seem non-specific there, so idk where to add it, but when you right click a server then "server info" it's not blured either

rich bobcat
#

compact.. memberlist

#

can i see?

meager radish
#

ye just a sec

rich bobcat
#

no problem

meager radish
#

wtf it's not blured anymore, I'll look why

rich bobcat
#

what do we think about the little fade at the bottom

#

i fuck with it

#

going

#

going

#

sold

meager radish
#

lol idk what you talking about

rich bobcat
#

i put a little fade at the bottom of the banner

meager radish
#

oooh medumb and looked at the wrong place

#

ye is nice imo

rich bobcat
#

glad we're on the same page

#

it looks a little weird with those flat color banners

#

what the hell thats so cool

#

its okay il keep your secrets ๐Ÿ˜”

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

you have a really nice setup

#

you seem like you'd enjoy hyprland

meager radish
#

Thanks
I do, but am switching to niri

rich bobcat
#

good choice ive heard

meager radish
meager radish
meager radish
#

search needs one as well

#

(.container__16eb0)

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

for some reason

#

i might have targeted the wrong component

#

the first update to my theme is about to take place :3

#

what the hell webstorm

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

wah?

#

it wouldnt

#

blur the background

meager radish
#

oh wait I changed the way to apply the background, lemme test with the normal way

rich bobcat
#

huh actually buttons__5126c isnt its correct element

#

but it does work i verified

#

it should be popover_f84418

meager radish
#

nah it does blur for me even with normal background

rich bobcat
#

yeah that looks right

#

huh

vale creek
rich bobcat
#

im gonna be real i have no clue what i was on it works perfectly fine

meager radish
rich bobcat
rich bobcat
#

do popover_f84418

#

or.. dont since im just gonna push a new version anyways

#

you might have to wipe all your local changes

#

except the memberlist

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

is the text partially transparent?

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

oh

#

i cant .. hmm

#

kay il use your element

meager radish
#

lol it does make it work, but idk if it selects stuff it's not supposed to

#

I did not find any tho

rich bobcat
#

im too tired to match selectors atm and the selector you found seems to fix it good enough

#

autocomplete is fixed btw

#

oh yeah i intergrated transparent messageboxes

#

awesome snippet

#

benny say hi

#

@vale creek

vale creek
#

haiii

rich bobcat
#

benny is the maintainer for it

vale creek
rich bobcat
#

i kinda gave up on it and benny fixed the biggest issue w it and now its awesome

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

you can disable it tho

#

er.. right.. if you can disable it but keep blur on that.. makes.. uh

#

that poses conflicts

#

okay il manually implement blur anyways

vale creek
meager radish
#

I remember I had some issues with it, but maybe I don't remember correctly

meager radish
#

I don't even remember, I think you can add it it must just be some conflicts with my other snippets, I'll fix them on my end

rich bobcat
#

damn, benny you uhh

#

didnt fix the thing

vale creek
vale creek
rich bobcat
#

uhh thing uh

#

bar

#

floaty one

#

oh i guess its not broken but the color doesnt match

vale creek
#

new message bar?

rich bobcat
#

simple i think

#

sorry for blaming you thats my fault

vale creek
#

thats ok :3

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

its transparent yeah but with our snippet it like

#

shows messages behind it

meager radish
#

oh ye I see

rich bobcat
#

mhm

#

i did message buttons, tooltips, uhhh

meager radish
#

oh ye just tested, the issue I had was blur not working, but if that works for you it definitely comes from something else in my css, I'll fix it

rich bobcat
#

think thats all you requested right

#

whats container 16eb0

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

oh yes i hit that too

#

was there anything else

#

found smth

meager radish
#

.autocomplete__13533, .popover_f84418, .members_c8ffbb:hover, .reactionTooltip_b49891, .container__16eb0
these are all the ones I set on my end

rich bobcat
#

yeah i hit all these

#

your members you'll need to keep

meager radish
#
:root {
/* if backgrounds are enabled this acts as a background tint*/
  --window-tint: #0007;

  }
  body { transition: background .3s ease-in-out; }
}

in case you want anything else from what I've changed, here's everything

rich bobcat
#

all good

#

thank you

#

also you could bring those out of root

#

oh.. huh

#

how are you

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

okay, seems like you know what you're doing i wont question it

meager radish
#

nw, there's maybe some better ways to do what I'm doing, but I don't hate this method and it works

rich bobcat
#

kind of ironic how the goal for this theme was to

#

quote

#

"not reinvent most of the wheel"

#

and yet here i am

meager radish
#

kinda clean tho, I had one transparency snippet I did before, it was uh.. badly done lol

rich bobcat
#

.. christ

#

๐Ÿ˜ญ

#

do you have any idea how ambigious this is?

#

at least include the element type

meager radish
#

your comments are a good idea I didn't have, and when I did it I thought that using [class*=] would prevent discord from breaking it.. which just made it harder to fix when discord fully changed it's classes

rich bobcat
#

i stopped doing those selectors for.. a lot of reasons

meager radish
#

ye performance is another reason they're bad but I have a good enough computer where it doesn't make it laggy so I didn't care before

rich bobcat
#

because update tools pick up on them and help me debug them

#

its so easy

meager radish
#

nice

rich bobcat
#

the dopamine is hitting :3

#

the theme feels polished

meager radish
#

๐Ÿ—ฟ

rich bobcat
#

kind of upset

#

invite thing

#

has a suspiciously discord color background

#

and i was like "wow there's a part i didnt theme"

#

and spent like 5 minutes looking for it

#

okay pushing the update

#

i should have added benny as coauthor

#

im doing it

vale creek
rich bobcat
#

hey silly

meager radish
#

lol thks, would it be possible to change that email as well?

rich bobcat
#

i can hide it if you want

#

but its public on every single one of your github repos

#

youd need to use the one connected to your github account to be uhhh... verified as the right account, otherwise its gonna show you as a default user

meager radish
#

na is ok, I just changed it some time ago but must've done it wrong

rich bobcat
#

ah

#

maybe

#

sorry if its info you dont want shared

meager radish
#

no worries, it's not

rich bobcat
#

alright cool

rich bobcat
rich bobcat
#

simple enough

meager radish
#

ye, would like to not use gmail, but too lazy to switch all my accounts from using this email now lol

rich bobcat
#

it didnt register your github account

#

would you like me to go back to the other email or are you okay with that

meager radish
meager radish
rich bobcat
#

alright, thank you for helping :3

meager radish
#

np, was fun

rich bobcat
#

let me know if you have any other issues

#

damn it i forgot to fix the typo

#

whatever ๐Ÿ˜ญ

rich bobcat
# meager radish weird

also i think its my mistake actually because i forgot to do the arrows, im gonna try again

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

i cloned your tickzones repository and just copied the information you pushed your latest commit with

#

i should have asked, im sorry

meager radish
#

really no worries, don't appologise lol

rich bobcat
#

there we go

meager radish
#

@vale creek

div.channelTextArea_f75fb0::before, div.wrapper__44df5 { /* actual text area */
backdrop-filter: blur(var(--tm-blur)); /* Configure blur amount here */}

is there a reason the filter is on ::before in the textarea snippet?
(just asking before I have my cat on that ::before and that's why I don't get the blur, but if I put the blur on the element itself it works)

rich bobcat
#

i made it like this because otherwise this would throw off the absolute positioning of the autocomplete menu

#

or the reply bars

#

i dont exactly remember

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

its okay

#

benny does maintain it now but it was my desision originally

vale creek
#

cat made the original snippet, then i maintained it, and made tweaks and fixes

rich bobcat
vale creek
#

and today cat cleaned it all up and added the lil config :3

rich bobcat
#

i love @container

#

so useful

meager radish
#

there seem to be a missing } no?

#

(the last one is @container's one)

vale creek
#

this might be my bad, whoops

meager radish
meager radish
#

[DELETED]
that worked better for me

#

oh and idk why the gap is too big here, but it did that before as well for me so I guess it's only on my end

#

-# (the white background is only to test lol)

vale creek
#

does &::-webkit-scrollbar-button:end:increment { height: 35%; } work instead of
&::-webkit-scrollbar-button:end:increment { height: var(--textarea-height); }

#

if height 35% doesnt work, just change that value around until it looks right to you

meager radish
vale creek
meager radish
vale creek
#

oh wait you arent using the base transparent message box snippet that... i think wouldve been in the snippet

#

i experimented around with a lot of different things and what i have now is like the only thing that seemed to work ๐Ÿ˜ญ

vale creek
#

im unsure why it does that..

#

well, good luck, i hope its not as infuriating for you as it was for me and cat

meager radish
vale creek
# meager radish it uses the same ::before I could fix it by putting my cat in another element, b...

true...
well, again, good luck

the transparent messagebox snippet was absolute hell to get working. cus everything we logically did to get it to work. always seemed to have some oddness.

such as when editing a large message, it causes the entire chat to shift upwards

and if you set anything to absolute, the chat doesnt become adaptive to a lot of text, or it doesnt push the chat messages up with it, stuff like that.

meager radish
meager radish
meager radish
rich bobcat
#

because I don't want it to cause issues for other people

meager radish
#

iirc it's an edit that I did of a V2 that someone else made of a snippet that someone else made lol
here's my settings:

#

could be redid to not use class^= but at least it haven't broken in so long it's nice

rich bobcat
gilded belfry
#

for whatever reason my theme background is some anime girl, even though in the code the background is the galaxy stuff

meager radish
#

@rich bobcat ok so the issue of puttin backdropfilter on the element itself and not on a ::before is that all elements that are in the textarea can't have a backdrop (that includes the emoji/command autocomplete), my fix is just putting the filter on div.channelTextArea_f75fb0>.scrollableContainer__74017 instead of div.channelTextArea_f75fb0, but then my blur on the collapsable chat buttons broke so instead I put it on div.channelTextArea_f75fb0>.scrollableContainer__74017>.inner__74017>*, div.channelTextArea_f75fb0>.scrollableContainer__74017>ul which I think is as reliable as a ::before but is better because it only changes actual elements (selector can maybe be made better tho)

also for the emoji/sticker/GIF picker I thik it'd be better if the selector was on .drawerSizingWrapper__08434 (or actualSelector>.drawerSizingWrapper__08434) because it's an absolute element and the parent can not-follow it's size easily (as it is doing in my case)

meager radish
#

indeed, just did not see it when I changed it

rich bobcat
#

oh the

#

huh

#

I was confused about the emoji thing

meager radish
#

do you want some screenshots to make it clearer?

rich bobcat
#

I just thought there wasn't a good selector for it because that wasn't on all of them

#

either way

meager radish
#

will you change those two things or not?
(just so I know if I keep the import or put the CSS directly in my quickCSS and modify it)

rich bobcat
sage ore
#

Computing Cat, This is so niche!

#

hope you don't mind if I make my own version

rich bobcat
rich bobcat
#

but I also hope by that you mean you're starting from scratch and not just copying my theme and calling it yours

meager radish
#

btw I found another lil issue, the settings modal has it's parent with a backdrop as well, so the whole window is blured instead of just the modal

rich bobcat
#

im back

rich bobcat
#

i cant find a way to generically include all uh

#

modals and stuff

#

without doing fullscreen ones

#

so im just

#

not gonna do it

rich bobcat
#

what does it mean exactly

#

i think i fixed the theme

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

that id is dynamic

#

resets every time you load the container

meager radish
#

oh didn't know that lol

rich bobcat
#

gonna hardcode every modal from now on

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

its just gonna be in a way that might.. uhh prompt for more.. maintenance later

meager radish
#

oh I understand ๐Ÿ‘Œ

rich bobcat
#

possibly

#

yeah

#

what other local changes do you have

meager radish
meager radish
#

sry for ugly text

rich bobcat
#

thats fixed

meager radish
#

๐Ÿ‘Œ nice

rich bobcat
#

it wasnt actually ever broken

#

that part already has blur

#

its just killed by the parent blur

meager radish
#

oh I see

rich bobcat
#

think this was it

#

ah no its the first one

#

its both? wtf

#

oh

#

nvm

meager radish
#

oh there's something else I just remembered

rich bobcat
#

im editing the wrong file and not seeing any changes

rich bobcat
meager radish
#

I had to add .popout_15748 (not sure it's the right selector, but worked and I don't see issues with it for now) to the backdrop thing because the <selects>'s options didn't have backdrop

rich bobcat
#

thats weird

#

oh nvm im thinking of another component

#

what is popout 15748

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

rider

#

its for c# but also does wonders for css

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

oh yeah thats

#

yeah thats reasonable

#

let me fix that

#

can you show me how it looks for you

#

there's some layer bs going on

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

i used the class listbox 2e223

rich bobcat
#

it just isnt uh

#

interacting properly with transparency

#

that text is supposed to be far more blurred than it is

#

the issue is the fact tthat the base container is transparent

#

the same thing happens to

#

discord if you make the background transparent

#

anyways unless there's something else im missing, im gonna be pushing this

meager radish
#

I can't use the "select element" in the devtools for some reason it's so teadious to go look at elements..

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

mk

meager radish
#

isn't [role="listbox"] better?
popout seems to be a generated one, it's not the right selector anyway

meager radish
#

oh

rich bobcat
#

i was mainly worried that [role="listbox"] had elements with special functions

#

like

#

subboxes

#

in which case it'd have to go in the pseudoelements box

#

ig thats an issue to deal with later tho

#

you're right

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

huh

#

.listBox__2e223

#

oh

#

thats why

#

discord has poor naming

meager radish
#

        role="listbox"
        tabindex="0"
        data-list-id="ยซrhk6ยป"
        aria-orientation="vertical"
        style="overflow: hidden scroll; width: 696px; max-height: 134px; padding-right: 0px">
    </div>
</div>

#

that's what I have, there's no listbox except the role

rich bobcat
#

gosh blur messes up everything royally

rich bobcat
#

hold on

#

yeah i have it idk

meager radish
#

oh ye kinda weird

rich bobcat
#

i used the version that should uh

#

work for everybody

#

you included

#

here's my version

#

lmk if it works

#

nvm i have to clear smth

#

i used no blur options

meager radish
#

btw something else I just saw but might be fixed by the fact you're not bluring containers anymore:
the backdrop get "applied as a rectangle" on the profiles, so it goes further than the actual profile since there's a border radisu

rich bobcat
#

yeah

#

thats fixed

#

i mean you can check it for yourself

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

i uploaded the theme lol

rich bobcat
#

you can try it out

#

all options should be default

meager radish
#

I don't get the transparent messagebox anymore, but everything else seems to be fixed

rich bobcat
#

huh

#

i changed an option in that

meager radish
#

oh wait that's my bad

rich bobcat
#

was gonna say i didnt think i did anything for that

meager radish
#

well it's still broken for me but that's because of other things I did and I think you said you didn't want to change the selector?

rich bobcat
#

im up for fixing everything right now

#

you can wipe all your local changes temporarily

#

everything should be fixed

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

textarea...

#

huh

#

oh yeah

#

can i have your thing

meager radish
#

messagebox?

rich bobcat
#

your

#

yeah can i have your cat snippet

meager radish
# meager radish iirc it's an edit that I did of a V2 that someone else made of a snippet that so...

it's there + it also conflicted with the blur from that:

/*#region Collapse the chat buttons except when hovering */
.textArea__74017 {
  margin-right: 32px;
  +.buttons__74017 {
    position: absolute;
    right: 0;
    &:hover {
        backdrop-filter: blur(2px);
    }
    &:not(:hover)>:not(:has(>[class*=emojiButton] )) {
      display: none;
    }
    &:not(:hover)>[class^=container_] button>div {
      margin-left: 8px;
    }
  }
}
/*#endregion */
rich bobcat
#

uhhh........

meager radish
#

that's why in my msg I suggest to make the selector select the elements directly instead of the container

rich bobcat
#

i remembered why i didnt wanna mess around with it :3

meager radish
#

lol, you can check, but if you put what I said in my msg I don't see why it would break other things

rich bobcat
#

il try

meager radish
#

(removing the before as well, idk if that's in the message)

rich bobcat
#

the messagebox isnt exactly my domain

#

well i guess it is kinda

#

the selector doesnt select anything for me

#

im gonna try updating it

#

im looking at div.channelTextArea_f75fb0>.scrollableContainer__74017>ul

#

i dont have a ul inside my scrollablecontainer

meager radish
#

and it appears

rich bobcat
#

doesnt seem like a very stable selector then

meager radish
#

what?

rich bobcat
#

it seems like

#

uhhhh

#

you're right it does appear

meager radish
#

it's made to select every element in the textarea, so it selects that file-ul and then all elements of the textarea, if the ul doesn't exist it's ok it just does't select it

rich bobcat
#

hold on let me reread all of the messages

meager radish
#

I could remake one to summarise as well if you want

rich bobcat
#

nah its okay

#

i understand

#

i remember i did something similar

#

i dont remember why i didnt go with that solution however

#
div.channelTextArea_f75fb0>.scrollableContainer__74017>.inner__74017>*
div.channelTextArea_f75fb0>.scrollableContainer__74017>ul

you're proposing to use these 2 selectors instead

#

correct?

meager radish
#

yes, and removing the blur using the ::before since it does it

meager radish
rich bobcat
#

i dont see anything wrong with wildcard

meager radish
#

I know that since css starts from the last selector and goes up, wildcard (or "div" since it's used a lot) at the end of the selector could cause lag, never seen it myself tho

rich bobcat
#

balls

#

seems like thats it for purpleprune

#

textbox code is not purpleprune

#

its transparent messagebox

#

id fiddle with it but im feeling sleepy

#

yet i just woke up

meager radish
#

-# (it's a joke I don't like coffee)

sage ore
#

it's my stupid design

brazen swift
# sage ore IDK

What's the snippet for "text, thread" etc on channel list?

sage ore
brazen swift
lethal canyon
#

it might actually be possible with css

rich bobcat
#

what stops anybody from just using a pseudoelement

lethal canyon
#

effort

rich bobcat
#

its kinda cheeks and uses a hack

#

but its ok

#
.link__2ea32::after {
    content: "text";
    position: absolute;
    padding: 0 8px;
    text-align: center;
    right: 0;
    top: 0;
    bottom: 0;
    margin: 8px;
    background-color: var(--blurple-50);
    font-weight: bold;
    font-size: 80%;
    color: var(--text-default);
    border-radius: 8px;
}

.typeThread__2ea32 > .link__2ea32::after {
    content: "thread";
}

.link__2ea32:has(> div > .iconContainer__2ea32[aria-label="Forum icon"])::after {
    content: "forum";
}
lethal canyon
#

you don't even need has I don't think

#

you don't need to do after on link

rich bobcat
#

this was the solution to the issue the other person had

vale creek
#

well... thats a selector and a half

brazen swift
#

Is there a way to make profile popout for users without nitro darker?

#

Or maybe making nitro users and non nitro semi-transparent?

#

to make it balanced

rich bobcat
#

sorry

#

i expected people to have blur on kinda

#

i can add an option for that

#

shit

#

i forgot a semicolon

#

sorry for anybody's discord breaking

#

im fixing it rn

#

@brazen swift should be fixed

#

its configurable with this variable:

--ProfilePopoutTint: #0003;
brazen swift
#

Thank you so much <3

#

It looks so nice now with #000017cc or #000017 to make it opaque

rich bobcat
brazen swift
#

I made a little fix

#

The variable now changes profile modals, not just popouts

#

(before/after)

#

(more visible "after" example)

#

I changed this line:

.user-profile-popout:not(.custom-user-profile-theme) { background: var(--ProfilePopoutTint);}

and added .user-profile-modal-v2 to it
so it looks like:

.user-profile-popout, .user-profile-modal-v2:not(.custom-user-profile-theme) { background: var(--ProfilePopoutTint);}

Not sure if it's even properly done but thought it's good to mention

rich bobcat
#

actually im a little confused lol

#

in your snippet you apply the theme to all user profile popouts but only unthemed user modals? is this an intended thematic choice?

rich bobcat
#

im thinking of removing the container option for blur and just including different setups for the theme

#

container is a tinge more expensive than just not applying a theme

brazen swift
#

Honestly I am a bit confused too haha

#

It wasn't actually intended

sacred rapids
#

What is that taskbar on top, like the one that shows spotify, vencord, cpu and so on... is it part of DC or smth else

vale creek
sacred rapids
rich bobcat
rich bobcat
#

but here's my laptop cachyos setup

sacred rapids
rich bobcat
#

alright no problem

sacred rapids
#

Oh wait My DMs are closed

rich bobcat
#

oh they're not very private i can share them here

sacred rapids
rich bobcat
#

you're gonna need to make a few helper scripts executable if you want the music thing

#

tho i have a better version now from my laptop

#

also on my laptop all of my applets and widgets are tuis

#

i love tuis :3 and i love setting up my stuff like how i want it

#

let me get the waybar config

sacred rapids
rich bobcat
#

@vale creek

vale creek
#

HEHE

rich bobcat
#

linx..

sacred rapids
#

A full new electron App XD

#

and I am using it rn XD

rich bobcat
#

hmm seems a little extreme

sacred rapids
#

yeah I am still working on it, But if I get BetterCord + Vencord + Powercord plugins... Yeah...

rich bobcat
#

uhh

#

so whats the goal of this new app thingy

sacred rapids
rich bobcat
#

? huh

#

how are you gonna manage that without a huge performance overhead

#

i think you'd be better off maing a plugin converter

sacred rapids
#

well let's just say currently it's not working soo... yeah ๐Ÿ‘

rich bobcat
#

huh

#

okay

#

another tui thing

rich bobcat
#

put those in .config/waybar/

#

and also do chmod +x ~/.config/waybar/mediaplayer.py

#

make sure you have python installed

#

you'll probably get a couple of errors before it would work properly

#

also back up your existing stuff

#

hmm

#

that player module kind of sucks actually

sacred rapids
#

Thx!

rich bobcat
#

hey for anybody checking in about the theme no longer turning off blur right

#

use this import link instead

#

this doesn't have transparent messagebox snippet tho

meager radish
#

Hey! me again, just saw it's lacking blur in the streaming preview window

rich bobcat
#

can you take a screenshot

meager radish
#

I'll look if there's something overriding it later, but here you go

#

ye none of the 3 that could have the backdrop have it
