1. close discord from your system tray by clicking on the up arrow in your taskbar & right clicking the discord logo and clicking quit discord. close any browser discord tabs too, and then check your task manager and make sure all instances of discord are closed there as well.
2. win key & r at the same time & paste %AppData%/Discord & hit the return key
3. delete the discord folder
4. win key & r at the same time & paste %LocalAppData%/Discord & hit the return key
5. delete the discord folder
6. empty recycling bin & restart pc
7. redownload discord
8. install vencord again to this new discord install

i switched from udev to mdev on one of my linux installs and flatpak vesktop screenshare audio stopped working, it no longer populates the screenshare menu with a list of audio sources but it did with udev, but nothing else on my system has stopped working so i'm kinda confused

Ignorance I guess. Vekstop was the first thing I saw to download. I wasnt aware of anything different. But the reason I am downloaded Vesktop was because native discord doesnt allow for system audio to be captured when streaming.

DiscordStatus is a 3rd party plug in that runs in the background and when you have Discord open it will share the activity/game you are playing. So it would say "Currently playing Halo Infinite on SteamDeck"

i have a problem with the vencord custom themes, that made it so i cant change settings. Is there a way to completly reset vencord, plugins and everything without needing to change accounts

I hope I don't get exploded for this, but..

Prior to posting this issue, I have done research of the context menu not working for some people, and from what I have been told, the version of Vencord is outdated, and they had to update it. However, I have tried updaitng to the latest version of Vencord, and I still am having an issue where the context menu on Vesktop isn't working. How do I replicate this issue? I smiple right click on a misworded word and the menu doesn't show up. I'm using Windows 11 Home 24H2 with the following version of Dis/Vencord, and I have no issues with the context menu on normal Discord:

yo what are the requirements for vencord on os x? i am running os x 10.9.5 mavericks on a late 2012 mbp (MacBookPro10,2)
the vencord installer will not run; when i open it, nothing happens; no icon in dock
i ran the barebones file from the MacOS folder inside the package, and it seems like it is unable to find some files in a system folder
any fixes for this?

The easiest & fastest solution to most issues is to just reinstalll / repair Vencord using the installer. Don't worry, you won't lose your settings! They'll all be there like nothing happened once you're back

We don't support building from source though. The only thing i will comment on here is that you should use the source from the latest tag/release and not what is on the master branch

macos mavericks is extremely old, I don't think it was really surprising that it wouldnt work

If you really want vencordinstaller to work I would recommend you just use opencore legacy patcher and actually upgrade to something that has software support such as monterey

Well, Im still trying to figure out most reasonable way to approach it.
Compatibility layer would be nice when you finish it, and it makes all plugins "ported" just like that.
While porting plugins by hand, one by one, could take ages depending on how many, and what type of plugins you want

yes apon downloading them i move them to the application folder then move the app onto my Mac, i may be doing that wrong ive never had a mac until recently so it could be my own doing this happened

anyways the Discord.app inside of Applications is damaged, which is just macOS telling you that it may not be safe to open

1. Open your terminal app
2. Type sudo
3. Drag VencordInstaller.app into your terminal
4. Append /Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller
5. The final input should now look something like this. Double check that you have everything correctly, especially the space.

sudo /Users/YourUsername/Downloads/VencordInstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller

6. Run by hitting Enter and the installer should open. If it says file not found, you made a mistake
7. Installing should now work!
8. If you still get the same error, give your terminal app Full Disk Access and try again

Hello! I'm using using Vesktop on Hyprland (Wayland Compositor) and for some reason using transparency + a transparent theme only makes the window darker. I've tried this with multiiple themes.

Look at the docs for hyprland to get transparency to work, it not working is usually a fault of the compositor (provided you have actually fully restarted the client)

Is the FakeNitro plugin supposed to make fakeemotes display inline on messages? It works if the message is only a single emote, but not if it has text or multiple emotes. for example, i'd expect dessyeah to appear

you can also copy the raw link to the .css file and put the link in settings > online themes; which automatically updates iirc

I looked up the phrase "public test build" before asking this so rly sorry if i missed something obvious and im asking here for no reason buuut, I use discord PTB because of an issue where the stable release does this funny thing and crashes my entire computer if I try to screenshare
Is using venncord on PTB a bad idea?

You may need to rpeat it multiple times if you get unlucky

but you need to do the instructions properly or it doesn't work
