However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Hello everyone! First of all, congratulations to the devs for the work done on Vencord! I've been using Vencord for a few weeks now, after switching from BetterDiscord, and you've really done an amazing job optimizing and centralizing the plugins! It’s very pleasant to use! ❤️

So, here’s my issue: I checked the known-issues channel just in case, but I couldn't find anything. A couple of days ago, after watching a video on YouTube presenting a plugin, I wanted to try using "customRPC."

On paper, everything works perfectly (at least the basic features do). But when I try to add a "button" with a link to my custom address (YouTube URL, my personal Discord URL, etc.), none of the buttons appear.

I tried deactivating/reactivating the plugin, uninstalling/reinstalling Vencord, and I even tried using the "streaming" function (instead of "playing"), but in each case, the buttons still don’t show up.

Do these features of the plugin work for you? Or Has anyone else encountered the same issue? Is there a patch in progress, perhaps? Or maybe you know a "fix" for this problem?

I'm not able to open an issue for it as the issue is Vesktop instantly crashing when clicking the screenshare button on Wayland - screenshare crashing apparently being an issue with my system. What exactly are you referring to? If you mean the RelationshipNotifier plugin, you can disable / enable things in the plugin's settings

That would mean someone is sending you a friend request momentarily, and then revoking it, thus showing it as removed

You have multiple discord versions, try a clean reinstall of discord using the guide below (its completely different to a normal reinstall)

(basically vencord is patching the newest discord version but your discord is using an older version for some fucking reason)

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

the only thing i think you could mean is that the file doesn't embed due to a file extension that discord doesn't support

1: Vencord's version intentionally doesn't save logs unlike other versions, there is a version for Vencord that does but I won't link to that here
2: This is Vencord support not BetterDiscord support
